We loved staying in the Beaufort "Penthouse". Very comfortable open living spaces with great bedrooms. We all enjoyed living in the heart of Beaufort. It was so convenient to shopping, dining and entertainment. We have already booked again!
Park your car in your private parking place and never move it for your entire stay! Walk from your Beaufort Penthouse private Front Street entrance to any number of restaurants, bars and shopping. Tour the beautiful homes of this historic, quaint and charming fishing community. Walk to the National Parks ferry and ride the ferry to famous Cape Lookout for the day where you can climb the lighthouse, spend the day on the beach just relaxing, hunt for shells, or view, up close, the famous Shackleford Island ponies brought to this country by European settlers centuries ago. Don't forget your camera! Go birding or pony watching by ferry to the Rachel Carson Preserve. Catch the breeze and look for dolphin as you sail on the Lookout 45 foot catamaran, steps away from your front door. Tour historic St. Paul's Episcopal Church or the historic Old Cemetery. Immerse yourself in the history of Blackbeard and view the famous relics recovered from the Queen Anne's Revenge, all housed in the Beaufort Maritime Museum. Stroll down Front Street where you can walk for three miles and see wild ponies, dolphin, boats and more all along beautiful Taylor's Creek. Stop in the boat house across from the Maritime Museum and watch boat building still continuing in the old fashion way. And then finish your day, with a drink of your choice, on the roof top deck of your Beaufort Penthouse, to watch the sun set over the boat docks, Taylor's Creek and Beaufort Inlet. Then retire to your Beaufort Penthouse and watch the activity on the docks, in the water and along the streets of Beaufort from your living room and bedroom windows. It just doesn't get any better than this.....
