The John-Marie House is located in the South Lamar Historic District and is a 10 minute picturesque walk to the Oxford Square. The property is a restored, vintage, 3 bedroom 2 bath house (3 king beds). The single story home features an inviting front porch and 1800 square feet of interior living space with hardwood floors through out.


The open concept living area of the John-Marie House features comfy seating, a 50 inch smart TV, original art, quartz counters, stainless appliances. The kitchen is equipped with full size stainless appliances, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee maker, standard coffee maker, (complementary coffee provided) nice selection of pots and pans, drink ware, dinnerware and eating utensils.

Each bedroom includes a king size bed, white bedding, a flat screen TV and nice closet space. Primary bedroom has an en suite with marble counters, double sinks, and shower. The large hall bath includes marble counter, double sinks and tub/shower combo. Guests are provided with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap and hairdryer.

The cozy reading room offers a private designated work space for the business traveler or cozy spot to hang out away from your other guests. Wireless internet is provided.

The laundry room includes a vintage sink and a full size washer /dryer and iron/ironing board and hand held clothes steamer.

The John-Marie House has off street, monitored parking with 3 reserved parking spaces marked with John Marie House signage. It shares a parking court with its rear Josephine House sister property. (VRBO #1859778) Please see photo for property layout.

The house was exactly as advertised. It was so nice to be able to park our car and walk all weekend. About a 10 minute walk to the restaurants and bars. We had 6 adults in our group and we were very comfortable. I wish we had stayed an extra day to explore Oxford. House was very clean and well supplied with towels, coffee and kitchen amenities. Would definitely return!

Home was perfect in every way!

Stayed for Easter weekend to visit our daughter and we had an absolutely perfect weekend! The house is so cozy, beds large and comfortable, we walked to the Square, to Faulkners house, and around the cute neighborhood. Charming Southern Home

This is one of the most adorable vacation homes that we have stayed at yet; clean, comfortable, and beautiful! My sisters and I were in town for my nephew’s wedding and loved everything about our stay, from the upgraded amenities, decor, and cute porch and of course the town! The John-Marie is perfect!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the John-Marie house! Peaceful, beautiful, fabulous! Everything you need is at your finger tips. The accommodations could not have been more perfect. As soon as you pull onto the driveway, you are greeted with this gorgeous landscaping and an incredibly amazing front porch! Once you enter the home, you smile and say, “This is absolutely stunning!
