A beautifully restored fisherman’s cottage overlooking Newlyn Harbour, Strega Cottage is full of character, comfort, and coastal charm. Perfectly placed in the historic heart of this vibrant Cornish fishing village, the cottage offers stylish accommodation for up to four guests and easy access to everything west Cornwall has to offer.
Inside, the interiors are a relaxed blend of traditional and modern design, with antique furnishings, eclectic artwork, and thoughtful touches throughout. The inviting living room features original pieces, a log burner for cosy evenings, a TV, and a dining table for four, ideal for gathering together after a day exploring the coast.
The bespoke, hand-crafted kitchen is well-equipped for keen cooks, with an integrated oven and hob, separate Aga-style oven, fridge freezer, and dishwasher. A small breakfast table seats two for quiet morning coffees, and a second TV makes it a welcoming space to relax. A utility room houses a washing machine and an additional WC.
Two comfortable bedrooms await upstairs. The main bedroom enjoys side-on views across the harbour and Mount’s Bay, stretching as far as the iconic silhouette of St Michael’s Mount. The second bedroom offers flexible sleeping arrangements with a zip-and-link bed that can be made up as a king-size double or twin.
The newly refurbished bathroom features a generous walk-in shower with bespoke fittings, and an outdoor shower is also available, perfect for rinsing off sandy feet or wetsuits after beach adventures.
Outside, a sunny, south-facing courtyard offers a private spot for al fresco dining or relaxing with a glass of wine. Harbour-side parking is available just steps away at the nearby pay-and-display car park, and while the cottage retains its original sash windows, removable sound panels are provided for the front facing master bedroom to ensure a restful night’s sleep.
