Set in beautiful and peaceful countryside, several walks start from the house through fields and woodland along local tracks and quiet lanes, which can be explored.
Within 20 minutes drive of the property is the magnificent Castle Fraser, the beautiful Craigievar Castle; Alford Motor Museum; four enigmatic, Bronze Age recumbent stone circles; several Forestry Commission forests with walking and mountain bike trails and the Bennachie range, which provides wonderful hillwalking and superlative views.

Those venturing over to the coast can experience the atmospheric cliff top Dunnottar Castle and the nearby attractive harbour town of Stonehaven.

Voici pourquoi lâhĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement
We chose Dalherrick Farm because of its beautiful, peaceful countryside location with extensive views across the howe to the moorlands of the Hill of Fare. Its nearest neighbours are two fields away, giving complete privacy. We love the walks that start from the house, through fields and woodland along local tracks and quiet lanes.
There is so much to do nearby. Within 20 minutes drive of the property is the magnificent Castle Fraser and the beautiful Craigievar Castle; Alford Motor Museum (one of the best in the country); four enigmatic, Bronze Age recumbent stone circles (a monument type only found in the northeast of Scotland); Forestry Commission forests with walking and mountain bike trails; and the Bennachie range, with its tors and Iron Age hillfort, which provides wonderful hillwalking and superlative views.
Slightly further afield are several mysterious and enigmatic carved Pictish symbol stones; the wonderful gardens of Crathes and Drum Castles and Leith Hall, and the attractions of Aberdeen City. Here you can wander round the prestigious Aberdeen Art Gallery; go dolphin watching from harbour boat tours or with feet firmly on the ground from Battery Point; visit the attractive, traffic free, old fishing village of Footdee (Fittie); take a guided tour at the impressive Gordon Highlanders Museum or visit the beautiful St. Machar's Cathedral. Those venturing down the coast can experience the atmospheric cliff top Dunnottar Castle and the nearby attractive harbour town of Stonehaven.
For those wanting to explore further afield, the magnificent panorama and mountain walking opportunities of Royal Deeside and the Cairngorms National Park await (45 minutes to Ballater), plus the delights of Speyside and its whisky distilleries. The beautiful Aberdeenshire and Moray coast to the north is one of Scotland's best kept secrets, with its beautiful coastline and attractive fishing villages and harbours, including Pennan, where the movie Local Hero was shot.
