Such a gorgeous home! The views from the kitchen and living room were so amazing, it was hard to leave. Everything has been updated and was very clean. The heated floors in the bathroom were a nice thoughtful touch. You’re about 20 min from Alesund but there are some food options and a grocery store nearby. We honestly enjoyed eating at home given the beautiful view. Would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely stay here again.

About the host

Your host

Host profile image
Hi, I’m Anne Siri. I’m in my 40s, originally from Norway, and have been married to my husband Andreas for almost 22 years. We have a 19-year-old daughter, Christina.

I love photography, animals (we have one dog and four cats), nature, history, books, sports, cooking — I’m currently deep into my sourdough era — and of course travelling.

I truly enjoy being a host and meeting wonderful people from all over the world. We always try to think of the small things that make travel easier and more comfortable, especially the little items guests may have forgotten at home. Our goal is simply that you feel welcome, relaxed and well taken care of during your stay.

Why they chose this property

When I moved here 21 years ago, it was the view that completely stole my heart. The fjord, the changing light and the dramatic skies make it feel different every single day — sometimes even every hour. That’s Ålesund for you. We can experience all four seasons in a single day.
I love being this close to the ocean while still having the mountains rising around us. It feels peaceful and connected to nature, yet we’re only a short drive from the city and everything we need. For me, it’s the perfect balance between calm surroundings and everyday convenience.

What makes this property unique

The spectacular fjord view is what truly sets this property apart. The ever-changing light over the water and mountains creates a unique atmosphere you won’t find everywhere.

Combined with generous space, natural light and comfortable interiors, guests get both scenery and room to breathe and relax after a day of exploring. The option to use our fjordside boathouse with SUP boards and fishing gear adds an extra touch that many remember long after their stay.
