Communication was great and overall the place was very nice and accurate to the listing. However, the stairs were incredibly small and a hazard. One of us fell down the stairs.

Trudy was welcoming and flexible host.The apartment was clean (except for a small amount of dust), cheerful and full of plants and curios that gave it character. There are a few board games (including shuffleboard), a radio and cable TV. There are also stacks of Dutch comics, like Donald Duck!It's on a quiet street, a 10–15 minute walk to the station and 5 minutes from plenty of good shops. Note that there's no parking outside, nor can you pull up outside, as it's on a pedestrian alleyway. Heating is easily controlled via radiator thermostats, so it was always warm enough.The kitchen was well-equipped for a short stay: two-ring induction hob, fridge, kettle, Senseo machine (with plenty of pads) and a good mini oven. I missed a microwave, space to put food, and a decent knife, but basics like oil, salt, pepper and some herbs were provided. There was even a pack of spread in the fridge.The shower room was new and spotless with loads of towels, shower gel, shampoo and even toothpaste. (Toiletries might not be standard.) A hairdryer is provided.The main bedroom is huge with a loft-like feel and a comfy bed. There’s a small clothes rail with a few hangers. (Not enough for more than one or two people.) The sofa bed could use more bedding (extra/decent pillows, thicker duvet, mattress protector), but it was easy to use and fine for a short stay.Any small grumbles should be considered alongside the fact that the apartment offers excellent value for money!

Wir haben uns mit 2 Erwachsenen und 2 "Kindern" (15 und 18 Jahre alt) trotz kleiner Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt! Wir waren 4 Tage, ein langes Wochenende dort.Die Lage zu Hafen und Einkaufsstraße ist wirklich super. Der kostenlose Parkplatz "Nieuwe Wal" ist in ein paar Gehminuten erreicht. Be- und Entladen des Kofferraums ging direkt an der Straßenecke des Wegeinganges. Das war kein Problem.Es war alles sauber und tip top in Ordnung. Die Wohnung war genau wie auf den Bildern zu sehen.Die Küchezeile ist mit 2 Induktionskochfeldern ausgestattet. Uns hat einen Abend lediglich eine Suppenkelle gefehlt, ansonsten sind wir gut zurecht gekommen, haben allerdings auch nicht ausgiebig und viel gekocht. Für den einen oder anderen vielleicht ein wichtiger Hinweis - die Treppe nach oben ist recht steil.Der Ausblick auf den kleinen Außensitzplatz - supersüß! Sehr idyllisch!Der Kontakt mit Trudy und Jasper war sehr unkompliziert und freundlich.Und auch Hoorn der Ort an sich, hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir hatten ein tolles Wochenende!
