Quaint Historic Downtown: Walk to Dinner & Shops, Poker Table, Rooftop, Garage

The century-old former storefront, department store and jewelry store is now home to a 3,000-square-foot modern loft on the upper floors with plenty of natural light, open space in the heart of historic downtown New Albany, Indiana. New Albany has seen a recent revitalization and is less than 10 minutes from downtown Louisville but with a unique charm all its own.

The Loft is located on the second and third floors of a historic building that was formerly as jewelry store and even a department store in the 1940s and 50s. It has three bedrooms and two and a half baths. An additional twin beds in upper open loft. Additional VRBO loft space available next door (596733) sleeping up to 14. Please inquire.

Restaurants, a winery, breweries, boutiques, the Ohio River Greenway and the YMCA are all located on the surrounding blocks. Two cruiser bikes with baskets are available for use to explore downtown and the riverfront.

We stayed here over Thanksgiving with four of us in the house and hosted a total of 13 people for our holiday meal — and it couldn’t have worked out better. The home gave us plenty of space to spread out, and the open kitchen was a huge highlight. The large island made it easy for several of us to work at once; we even made batches of holiday chocolates and cooked our full Thanksgiving dinner without ever feeling cramped.The location is also great. We enjoyed being within walking distance of a couple of coffee shops and several restaurants, which made quick outings really convenient.Another fun bonus was the poker table in the second-floor loft — a few of us put it to good use in the evenings.Overall, it was a fantastic place for both hosting and relaxing. We’d absolutely stay here again!

The Loft on Pearl

The location was just as advertised. We had a golf trip at the Fuzzy Zoeller courses and it was a perfect location. We were able to walk to dinner both nights in downtown New Albany. Overall a great experience.

Wonderful, Fun, and Well-Appointed Loft in New Albany

We had a rather large group, toddlers and elderly included, stay at the loft for the PGA Championship at Valhalla and it was perfect for us. There were lots of nooks and spaces for the kids to explore (not to mention a climbing wall and hidden reading loft in their bedroom!) and a large dining table with spacious kitchen for family dinners. Garage parking space was helpful to have but the free street parking was super easy and we never had an issue finding a space for our second car. Very easy to get in and out of Louisville, and New Albany had a bunch of cute restaurants, bars, and cafes within walking distance. Hosts were very communicative and responded right away when we couldn’t find the entrance at first. Loved the loft, loved the location, we would return!

Charming Loft that met all our needs

We traveled to Kentucky with our 8th grade robotics team for the VEX World's championship. Matt and Jess were very accommodating hosts. The sleeping arrangements met all our needs, and the large farm table was perfect for students to do homework in the evenings. There are plenty of nice restaurants in walking distance. We enjoyed the pizza place and sushi restaurants. Thank you for a fun stay in New Albany.

The BEST Place We've Stayed!

From the moment we first reached out, Jess was completely professional and accommodating. She was quick to respond to any efforts we made to reach out and she made us feel right at home even before we arrived. The loft is beautiful and well maintained. The beds were luxuriously comfortable, so much so that our group almost overslept a couple of times. The area is quiet and relaxing which fits the decor and furnishings. The loft is bigger than the pictures indicate which was another nice surprise. We all had plenty of room to spread out and we really enjoyed the outdoor patio upstairs. We've already decided to see if Jess will allow us to stay again when we travel back to Louisville in a couple of years. Regarding location, the loft is perfectly situated just across the river from Louisville off of I-64. It's only 4 miles from the KFC Yum Center and the Convention Center. It's an easy commute to anywhere in the area. If you're looking for a beautiful, quiet, relaxing, modern place to stay while in the Louisville area, you could not pick a better place than this! Book it now before it gets snatched up!

This was not our typical family vacation rental, but we have throughly enjoyed our stay hear. We are a group of six adults and three children and the property was very accommodating for all. It has something for everyone and all ages. The restoration, decoration, and layout of the property is spot on. The owners have done a wonderful job. The location turned out to be a pleasant surprise with all the local restoration of the store fronts around the property. There are several neat eating and shopping destinations within walking distance. The proximity to Louisville and all its attractions was very convenient. The owners were very accommodating and i would highly recommend this property.
