Pigeon Forge Winterfest keeps the holiday spirit alive long past December 25th. While others have taken down the trees, boxed up the lights and retreated into the bleakness of an ordinary winter, the Smoky Mountain area is draped in over 5 million holiday lights until the end of February, keeping visitors merry and bright way into the New Year. Reinvigorate your holiday cheer without stressing over the big day and visit the Smoky Mountains for Winterfest!
The perfect place to stay during your visit is our cabin, ‘Cliffside Hideaway’. 'Cliffside Hideaway' is a unique mountaintop log cabin experience! The glass front exterior and rustic mountain interior will make you say ‘wow!’ at first blush. The mountain top views are spectacular and all the area’s biggest attractions are located close by as well. You will love a ‘Cliffside Hideaway’.
Outside, there is a wide porch with several rocking chairs perfect for casual conversations or watching the sun rise over the mountaintops. When the sun goes down, retreat to the back porch and continue that convo in a soothing and relaxing hot tub. There is also a charcoal grill for your family grillmaster to fire up some steaks, burgers and dogs. You can even watch the beautiful sunsets from the driveway.
The living room: Comfy, cozy couches are waiting for you after a long day of play in Dollywood or Downtown Gatlinburg. A gas-powered fireplace provides warmth, ambiance and maybe even a little romance. The log cabin interior and bear-themed decor reminds you exactly where you are spending your perfect mountain vacation. A soft area rug ties the room together and compliments the natural hardwood floors. There is flatscreen TV with cable and DVD hook-up making for memorable family movie nights. We provide the following pay channels: HBO, STARZ, Showtime, and Cinemax. Access to Netflix is also available. The cabin is also equipped with Wi-Fi for laptops and devices.
The dining room: a log dining room table seats six comfortably for meals with family and friends. Silverware, plates and glasses are provided. The table is also big enough for games, card or board, office work or a casual hangout. The dining room is open to both the living room and kitchen, making it the central gathering place for the cabin.
The kitchen: fully equipped with all the appliances and utensils you need to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is open to the dining room so you can be part of the fun while cooking for the group at the same time. A side door leads to the back porch and that relaxing hot tub.
Downstairs bedroom: a king-size bed awaits your weary bones and makes for a restful night sleep. A flat screen TV provides entertainment in the bedroom or, skip the tv and fall asleep to the crackling flames of the fireplace. An attached bathroom with a stand-up shower is convenient and private.
Upstairs loft: at the top of a spiral staircase, you’ll find another sleeping area with a king-sized bed and adjacent bathroom with a shower/tub combo. Nearby, a jacuzzi tub soothes the aches and pains of the day away and is the perfect place to unwind. Challenge the kids to a friendly (or ultra-competitive) game of eight ball on the upstairs pool table. Or head to the cozy balcony for another vantage point for those spectacular sunset views.
Additionally, we personally ensure that the cabin is cleaned and properly maintained so that your stay will be as comfortable as possible.
