As our kids grew, their childhood treehouse inspired the design for this villa. We dreamed of a modern retreat, drawing from MIMA Housing’s sustainable materials and their work with Philippe Starck on the Comporta holiday home—a project known for bold simplicity and a deep connection to nature.
Each bedroom sits in its own corner with private outdoor showers—just like our favorite safari lodges in Africa. The central living room opens wide to gardens and trees, giving everyone a place to gather.
During the Covid winter lockdown, missing our ski trips and time in mountain villa hot tubs, we installed the open-sky jacuzzi ourselves—bringing a bit of adventure and warmth to our nights in the Algarve.
The result is a villa perfect for couples, families, and groups, summer or winter. For large gatherings, you can book both our home and the neighboring larger family villa—just ask.
