The Space:

Tucked away within the peaceful surroundings of Allerthorpe Golf & Country Park, Reynards Retreat is a stylish and homely two bedroom, two bathroom lodge designed for comfort and relaxation. Sleeping up to four guests, it is perfect for families, couples, or friends looking to unwind in the heart of the Yorkshire countryside.



The open plan living space is light and welcoming, featuring elegant décor in calming neutral tones and a cosy indoor fireplace that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The fully equipped kitchen includes modern appliances and everything you need for a self catered stay, while the dining area provides the perfect setting for family meals or relaxed evenings together. The lounge offers plush seating, a Smart TV, and patio doors that lead directly to the private outdoor space.



Outside, you will find a private patio complete with a luxurious hot tub and comfortable seating area, ideal for morning coffee, alfresco dining, or a peaceful soak under the stars. The lodge’s garden views and quiet location make it a truly relaxing countryside escape.



The master bedroom features a comfortable double bed and en suite shower room, while the second bedroom offers twin beds ideal for family or friends. A second bathroom adds convenience, providing extra sleeping space for larger groups.



Reynards Retreat is also pet friendly, so your four legged companions can join you on your stay. With the park’s Bar & Grill, nine hole golf course, and manicured walking trails all nearby, this lodge offers the perfect balance of comfort, nature, and relaxation.



Guest Access:

Guests will have access to their lodge from 4pm on their arrival date.

Our on-site team will be on hand to support your check in and ensure you have everything you need for your stay.



Please note that there is one parking space to the side of each lodge, this is to be used by one vehicle only. All other vehicles can drive to the lodge to drop-off luggage but must park their car in the main car park for the duration of their stay.

There is strictly no parking on the grass at any times.



Quiet times are between the hours of 10pm and 7am and we politely ask that you respect your neighbours when using the outdoor facilities during these hours to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time when staying with us.

Please note that the park is Dog Friendly but we ask that all dogs are kept on a lead at all times when on the park site.



All guests can make use of the additional facilities at the Lodge Park. These include JJ's Bar & Grill, a Take-away Pizza Shack, 9 Hole Golf Course, Driving Range and Children's Play Park

Allerthorpe Golf & Country Park enjoys a peaceful yet convenient location in the heart of Yorkshire, surrounded by countryside while remaining just a short distance from the historic city of York. Travelling by car is simple, with the park located just off the A1079, around two miles from Pocklington and roughly a 25–30 minute drive from York. The A1(M) and A64 provide excellent connections for those arriving from further afield, and each lodge includes free on-site parking for easy access throughout your stay.



If you’re travelling by train, York Railway Station offers direct connections to London, Leeds, Manchester, and Edinburgh. From there, taxis and car hire options make reaching the park quick and straightforward. Bus services also run regularly between York and Pocklington, with the final stretch from Pocklington to the park taking only a few minutes by taxi.



Guests can explore local highlights such as Pocklington’s independent shops, cafés, and restaurants, or enjoy walks and bike rides through Allerthorpe Common Nature Reserve nearby. For days out, York’s world-famous attractions — including York Minster, The Shambles, and the National Railway Museum — are within easy reach.
