The property had numerous issues including poor maintenance and inadequate as well as dangerous facilities as well as false advertising by the landlord.
The property was littered with the leftovers from DIY, painting and decorating including loose wiring, plasterboard, wood trim, paint pots, white spirit and turpentine as well as an assortment of spare fixings from furniture assembly. These were not secured but in easy reach of any temporary tenant including children.
The living room sofa was broken and sitting in it resulted in the seat sagging and sharp screws being exposed, consequently there were a total of 1 rickety bar stool that also felt unsafe, one folding chair and one occasional chair available for seating- 3 seats in a 3 bedroom property was hardly adequate. Meals involved two people being seated and 3 having to stand so far from acceptable.
There was no WiFi in the property, there was a router but it had no power plug. We ended up using our phone charger to power it (had you been using a different brand of phone you'd be out of luck) once we powered up the router we found we were expected to pay to purchase a data allowance in contravention if the advertised free WiFi in the property listing. Due to having no WiFi neither of the TVs in the property worked.
The heating on the property was wholly inadequate with only one radiator on each floor being functional heat sources while all the other radiators were either ice cold or tepid at best
