Luxury Mountain Chalet Pool Sauna Cinema, Argentière (Chamonix), France

Escape to glorious alpine landscapes and this luxurious chalet for 8. Guests in this contemporary chalet can enjoy a private, heated pool in the summer months and skiing nearby in the winter. It makes a comfortable retreat for families or friends at any time of year.

The chalet is set in stunning countryside with panoramic mountain views. It is spread over 3 floors, with the main living area on the ground floor. The interiors are contemporary with wooden alpine touches. The open plan living area consists of a sitting area with two stylish sofas, a wood-burning stove and large, glass doors which lead out to the terrace and swimming pool. There are several outside seating options around the heated swimming pool, so guests can enjoy the spectacular surroundings.

Back inside, the dining area is between the sofas and the smart, new kitchen. The kitchen is separated from the rest of the room by a convenient breakfast bar – ideal for a quick snack. The kitchen is well-equipped with an induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, fondue set, raclette and Nespresso coffee machine.

A spiral staircase leads up to two bedrooms and down to the cinema room. The downstairs sitting room makes a great den with comfortable sofas, a large screen, a modern wood-burning stove, a laptop-friendly desk, next to the library and even an exercise bike for more active guests. For relaxation, there is a sauna for guests’ use in the basement.

Sleeping
Bedroom 1: Tucked under the wooden eaves, this lovely bedroom has a double bed, a flat-screen TV, a wardrobe, a private balcony and an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 2: Another cosy attic bedroom with a double bed, wardrobe and en suite bathroom
Bedroom 3: This ground-floor bedroom opens onto the terrace by the pool. It is furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, flat-screen TV, a desk and an en suite bathroom.
Bedroom 4: On the lower ground-floor this bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, desk and an en suite bathroom.

Bathrooms
All bathrooms are en suite. 3 of them have showers and the 4th (joined to bedroom #2) has a full bath. They all have basins, bidets and a WC.
Extra: There is a 5th independent WC on the ground floor.

Location
The chalet is in a quiet area to the south of the village of Argentière, but just a 15-minute walk from the cable car for Les Grands Montets skiing area and shuttle buses.

The nursery slopes of Chosalets are close by (9-minute walk). These are ideal for beginners and children. The surrounding slopes are ideal for intermediate and experienced skiers. Some of the higher slopes offer skiing later in the season, sometimes right up to early May.

All the facilities of the Chamonix region are on your doorstep. Les Iles Grassonet station for the Mont-Blanc-Express is just a 15-minute walk away, offering free railway services in the Mont Blanc valley.

During the summer months, the choice of activities is endless; stunning mountain trails for hiking or mountain biking, white water rafting, golf, rock climbing, paragliding and horse riding.

There are some excellent restaurants and bars to suit all budgets nearby. For self-catering, Argentière’s weekly market is on Sunday mornings (in season) for the freshest local produce.

Geneva airport is a 1 hour 20-minute drive from the apartment.
