The latter is lovingly known as ‘the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales’, inviting visitors to park up here before walking into the mighty national park.

On entry to this rural retreat, feel instantly at home in the warm embrace of the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, an inviting living space with room to cook, dine and unwind after days of adventure. Set yourselves down on sofas around a central coffee table to enjoy a board game late at night, or simply pick a favourite film to watch when dinner is done. Highlights include Malham Cove (18 miles), a filming destination for one of the later Harry Potter movies, Bolton Abbey (15 miles) with its historic priory ruins and the Stump Cross Caverns (22 miles) on the outskirts of the heritage village of Pateley Bridge (27 miles). This latter destination can be found in the Nidderdale AONB, surrounded by endless beauty and verdant rolling hills.
