With only the pavement separating you from the beach, you’ll be excellently placed for early-morning swims and, for the children, glorious bucket-and-spade sessions in the Suffolk sunshine. Located within the Suffolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this property makes a wonderful base for discovering the green hills, enchanting woodlands and vast farmland nearby. It’s got space for up to six guests over three bedroom – ideal, then, for a family trip or holiday among close friends.
Once you’ve admired the impressive brick facade and mullioned windows, step inside to encounter a stylish contemporary interior equipped for comfortable modern living. Whether you’re rustling up holiday meals in the farmhouse-style kitchen or settling down to a film in the cosy ground-floor lounge, every room is beautifully decorated in a welcoming rustic style. On the first floor, you’ll have a second lounge with gasp-worthy sea views out of its dual-aspect windows, a truly wonderful spot for enjoying morning coffee before heading out for the day. Or if it’s sunny and warm, why not take that hot beverage in the front garden so you can enjoy the fresh sea air from the comfort of your home? There’s also a roomy walled patio at the rear, providing a more private outdoor space for you to enjoy.
There’s so much to see nearby without needing a car, whether that’s strolling along Southwold’s pretty pier, having 1940s-inspired afternoon tea at the boating lake or wandering round the local museum (all within 0.5 miles). For a memorable day out, take the local ferry from the harbour to Walberswick (1.5 miles), a charming village known for its wildlife and pretty village green. Walkers will be keen to explore the River Blyth area (1 mile) and the nature reserve it meanders through.
