Banton offers a peaceful countryside setting with plenty to explore right on your doorstep. The village is known for its friendly community feel, scenic landscapes, and access to some of central Scotland’s most beautiful outdoor spaces. Just a short walk from the cottage, you’ll find quiet lanes, open fields, and winding paths perfect for an early-morning stroll or a relaxed afternoon wander.

Banton is surrounded by rolling farmland, woodlands, and reservoir walks. The Banton Loch (Loch of Kilsyth) is a local favourite for fishing, picnics, and birdwatching, while the wider area offers gentle walking routes suitable for all ages. Reaching the cottage is straightforward whether you're arriving from Glasgow or travelling from further afield. Direct buses run from Glasgow Buchanan Bus Station to Banton via the 72/72A service, with a typical journey time of around one hour. Guests can also take a train to Lenzie or Croy and complete the trip with a short local bus or taxi ride, offering a flexible alternative when bus times vary. For those driving, Banton is approximately 25–30 minutes from central Glasgow, with simple access via major routes connecting the city to the surrounding countryside.
If you’re travelling from elsewhere in Scotland, a combination of regional rail services to Croy or Lenzie and onward local buses provides reliable connectivity, making the cottage accessible from most major towns and cities.

- NO SMOKING INSIDE: We kindly request that smoking be avoided inside the premises. Any indication of smoking will incur a fee of £300 for odor removal, duct cleaning, and furniture cleaning. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

- We do require a separate short term rental agreement to be signed directly with us and a pre-arrival form filled prior to your stay.

At Vacant Nests, we’re dedicated to ensuring our property is protected throughout every guest stay. To provide peace of mind for both owners and guests, we require all guests to either have a £400 fully refundable security deposit hold placed on their account or purchase a £40 one-time Accidental Damage Waiver, which covers up to £500 of accidental damage during the stay.
