El Honeyholm es una cabaña de 400 años que anida en el valle de Strathendrick adyacente al Loch lomond y al Parque Nacional Trossachs. ubicado en un hermoso entorno junto al río con impresionantes vistas a través de campos abiertos a las colinas de Dumgoyne y los campamentos.

A solo una milla del pueblo histórico de Balfron, la cabaña está perfectamente situada para acceder a Loch Lomond y al parque nacional de Trossachs, así como a los asientos históricos de Stirling, Edimburgo y Glasgow.

El Honeyholm ha sido recientemente renovado a un nivel excelente; venga a relajarse con estilo. My family and I had the most amazing stay at this cottage. It was clean and extremely comfortable and the views were spectacular! Our host left us the most amazing scones and a bottle of wine which we all thought were very good. The scones were absolutely delicious The beds were extremely comfortable and the log burner and hot tub added some extra delights. We would definitely recommend this accommodation and hope to stay again. Communication with the owner was excellent.

Me and the family had an amazing stay at this cottage. Perfect for everyone, lots of space and very clean. Hot tub was amazing with beautiful views to unwind and relax. And of course the host Ian was amazing, scones left were a lovey touch.

Rural retreat

We enjoyed an all too brief stay at Balfron. The cottage and location were perfect, peaceful but close to amenities and attractions. Lovely host too who made sure we had everything we needed. Would love to stay again.

Everything about this rental was made easy by the owner excellent communication and welcome.... including scones👍 The house was lovely and the hot tub and views perfect...even in January. A warm and cosy stay perfect for our girly break.

Fantastic spot!

What a great location. Next to the river with views south to the Campsie fells. Lovely garden for the dogs while we relaxed on the deck in the evening sun and soaked up the view.

Ian was absolutely wonderful, made our stay so enjoyable. Helped us navigate Glasgow, scones and wine were much appreciated after a long day of travel. Communication was great, we did not need to worry about a thing. Beautiful location!

We stayed here with family and had a lovely relaxing time taking in the views and enjoying the accomodation. Ian was a brilliant host, excellent communication, very helpful and friendly. Fantastic Holiday Destination

Great place to stay. The host was extremely helpful and friendly. The accommodation was excellent with a spacious living area, well furnished kitchen. All the bedrooms were spacious, clean and modern. All the facilities were top notch and above all the location and views were absolutely stunning. We can’t wait to go back, our granddaughter has called it her “new house!”

Peaceful respite

Our extended family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed the space, view, and amenities at this home. The creek view is unbeatable and the hot tub and spacious yard were perfect for our teens. Ian is an excellent host who provided his famous scones upon arrival and checked in with us throughout our stay, providing tips for the rest of our travels around Scotland.

Absolutely stunning!!

This home is spacious, comfortable and in a beautiful location with easy access to Edinburgh and Glasgow. The host Ian was warm and friendly and went above and beyond to help us and make sure we were comfortable. He even stayed up late to make sure we got in ok after a change in travel plans. Would highly recommend staying here!!

Cottage and owner delightful

4 days with the amazing view of the Campsie Hills and river Endrick. Had friends and cousins to drinks also Ian the owner, the room was perfect for entertaining as well as the 5 of us. Lots for children which we did not use (no children)

Amazing Stay

What a lovely property and fantastic area. Ian was there to meet us when we arrived and showed us round the place and how to work everything that was needed. He had baked us some scones and left us a bottle of wine to enjoy. The place was big enough for eight of us, six adults and two children. Dogs were made welcome. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was lovely to relax in and look at the surrounding hills and scenery, very peaceful. Will definitely be back for another stay,

The cottage is spacious, clean, and has gorgeous views.

Our group consisted of five women and the cottage was perfect for us. It can be difficult to find a home with a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor and this cottage has a nice, cozy bed and bath with a walk in shower. Very accessible for someone with limited mobility. Ian was a wonderful host. He is friendly, charming, and helpful. We enjoyed the scones and jam that welcomed us. The cottage is clean and neat.

Great Base Camp

Wow is this place amazing! Ian brings old fashioned, high quality hospitality. He makes you feel at home immediately with scones and wine and helps you to see Scotland as a local. We were very comfortable in the cottage which had everything we need for both children and for adults. The hot tub was great and the kids LOVED the creek and play structures. Using the cottage as our base, we explored Loch Lomond NP, Trossachs NP, Glasgow, Stirling, and Falkirk. Coming back "home" each evening to cook and relax was amazing. As frequent travelers and VRBO guests, this property is be far my family's favorite. Thanks for an amazing stay.

UCI BMX competitions

Seven of us stayed for two weeks. My three grandsons were competing in the BMX Worlds in Glasgow. We arrived late at night after a long flight from Canada and delayed luggage. Ian had a pot of chilli and homemade scones waiting for us! He was very welcoming and helpful during our stay. We were very comfortable in the cottage and we enjoyed being in the country. People in Balfron were welcoming as well.

Visited Honeyholm Cottage for a 2 night stay with our family, 6 of us plus our small dog & enjoyed every minute of our time there. Honeyholm is gorgeous! Very spacious, en suites in every bedroom, lovely clean & very comfy beds & spectacular views from the bedroom windows & lounge, which are to the rear of the property. We loved the huge garden to the rear for our wee dog to run around in & the gorgeous river running along the bottom. We particularly liked the log burner at night, it just made the lounge feel so cozy! We ate out at the Kirkhouse Inn in nearby Strathblane which was amazing, we all thoroughly enjoyed the food & it was exceptional value for money. There were restaurants closer - one of which we weren’t keen on the menu, the other was fully booked. The few miles extra to get to Strathblane was well worth it however. More admiration of the scenery on the Saturday with a long countryside walk & then a bit of muscle relief in the hot tub in the evening. Blss!! The furniture in the lounge is a little bit mismatched but comfy & quite homely & meant we could all spread out. I felt that the kitchen could have been a bit cleaner but with a cloth each we had it degreased in less than 10 minutes so no issues. There’s a dishwasher & washing machine (which we didn’t use) but would be handy if you were staying longer. Ian was the perfect host & we thoroughly enjoyed the home made fruit scones & Prosecco left for us! Nice touch. We will definitely return. Thanks Ian.

Ian war ein netter Gastgeber, er hat auch extra ein Töpfchen für unseren Enkel besorgt. Die Sauberkeit im Haus und drumherum war nicht in Ordnung.

Ian and Julie love the countryside and surrounding area. It is perfect for hill walking , running and cycling.Loch lomond and Katrine are nearby for water sports or a boat trip. Julie enjoys gardening and is a development worker with adults with learning difficulties.
The local farmers make great neighbours and the villagers of Balfron,Killearn and Fintry are very welcoming.

The Honeyholm was originally worker cottages and is one of the oldest homes in the area.The cottage has been fully renovated as you can see from our facebook page. We have retained old stone walls and the original fireplace inside., now with a large wood burning stove. Adjacent to Honeyholm stone bridge and the river Endrick, the cottage has a fabulous location and wonderful views of the Dumgoyne and Fintry hills.
