From comfortable beds and good coffee to a drying room and log burner, our aim is to provide a luxury base and a memorable holiday.

The space
The Homestead is a cosy holiday cottage, perfectly positioned next to the Manifold Valley and a stone’s throw away from the magnificent Thors Cave.

Explore the wonderful Peak District straight from your door.

What to expect:

***PLEASE NOTE - if you are booking the cottage on a reduced rate there will be an additional charge if you wish to have the use of the HotTub. If unsure please check before booking.

The cottage has been newly decorated and is well equipped to accommodate up to six guests, set up as requested, either as a twin or super king across three good sized bedrooms.

In the Kitchen you will find everything you need to cook up a feast whilst your wine (or beer) is cooling in the wine cooler. If the weather is in your favour, then why not dine outside on our Rattan furniture on the decking, as the sun goes down.

And if it isn’t then you can stay nice and cosy around the farmhouse style dining table. The kitchen also houses a dishwasher, microwave, and coffee machine. A separate pantry with a retro fridge/freezer and other amenities.

The lounge has comfortable seating around a log burner, and a Smart TV for those movie nights. We also have numerous books and games for your leisure.

A modern family bathroom with low lighting for a relaxing bath or shower.

A walk-in shower, with a pebbled floor to massage your feet after a day of walking the hills. And a separate toilet room.

We also have a ‘drying room’ for drying wet boots and coats with ample space for storing bikes.

Outside you will have lots of space to yourselves to relax in, including a patio with a Hot Tub overlooking a wonderful view and a decking area with furniture surrounded by a grassed area.

There is ample off-road parking.

During the summer months we can offer Bring Your Own horse with 16 acres and an outdoor arena; please contact us for more information.

Guest access
The cottage is located on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Alstonefield and is set off the road, accessed via a gravel track. The dramatic landscape can be soaked up on the drive into the property and there are many footpaths, bridleways, and trails to enjoy, all within a short distance from the door.

All around the property there are stunning views, quaint villages, and famous towns to visit.

Bakewell is a twenty-minute drive and is a must to try out a real Bakewell Tart…. or pudding.

Leek is also only a short drive and if you visit here, you must try out Miscos handmade chocolates – the best chocolates you will ever taste.
