The south facing decking offers comfortable seating, BBQ and private pontoon, making it perfect for lazy afternoons relaxing by the water after enjoying the award winning spa, pools and the many on-site activities.

Lower Mill Estate - On-site Facilities & Activities:

• 550 acres of private Nature Reserve, including seven Lakes & three Rivers
• Excellent Water Sports - Paddle boarding, kayak, canoe & rowing boats
• Somerford Lagoon can only be used for non-powered water sports between the 1st of April and the 30th of September
• In order to minimise disturbance to overwintering wildfowl, the footpaths to the Southern and Eastern edge of Somerford Lagoon are not accessible from the 1st of October to the 31st of March
• Spinney Lake is available for non-powered water sports all year.

Milly Cottage was perfect

We really enjoyed our stay at Milly Cottage. It was perfect for our family. A newly decorated property, with a very well stocked kitchen and loads of cupboard space throughout the house. A very comfortable and well laid out living space. Milly Cottage is located on the most impressive of the lakes at the Lower Mill Estate. We loved waking up in the morning with the view of the lake. Our grandchildren also enjoyed making friends with the ducks. We had a nice meal at the Balihoo restaurant and would definitely recommend the Bakers Arms which is only a short walk away. Cirencester is nearby with a good choice of shops and restaurants. We enjoyed brunch at Roots & Seeds. We would definitely recommend Milly Cottage and the Lower Mill Estate. We enjoyed our walk around the lakes and our swims in the indoor pool. Unfortunately, it wasn't warm enough for us to brave the outdoor pool!

The main attraction of the lodge is being able to relax on the decking with a cool drink in a beautiful lakeside location and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and watch the wildlife. It is close to water sports, many activities, local attractions and many great country pubs, restaurants, tearooms and cafes in and around the Cotswold Lakes.
With many safe cycle trails and well marked footpaths guests can head out and explore the abundant lakes, canals, nature reserves and rivers nearby, including the Thames. The lodge is a great base to head out and visit Cirencester and enjoy the whole Cotswolds region.
