Blenda was an excellent host. The house is lovely and has lots of amenities/extras that most beach houses do not offer. Having access to the canal and Bay via Kayaks was so fun for all. Thank you for a great stay!
Loved the home and the location. All of the things we needed for the beach were there, from beach toys, chairs and coolers to towels and beach wagon. The home was fully stocked and provided all things a family of 11 could need. Thank you!

You are welcome to return anytime.
There was 14 plus a one year old toddler( loved the safety gates at the stairs & bedroom for her) plenty of room for everyone! So many extra things like beach chairs, wagon for carrying items to beach.. lots of other items.. plenty of outside sitting areas, sooo relaxing! The grand boys loved the Kayaks for the sound.. beach is walking distance! Couldn’t ask for a better beach house for a large group. We all loved it and want to go back!

Thank you for choosing my beach house and for your kind words Pamela.
I’m glad that you had a great family vacation and that memories were made in this beautiful area! Please know that you are welcome to return.
Close enough to everything you need at the beach. Far enough to enough to relax and chill. The extras the owner had at the house ( kayaks, chairs, beach toys and canopy ) made the stay more enjoyable .

I love sharing beautiful Navarre Beach with others! I’m always happy to hear that my guests were provided with everything necessary for making lasting memories with their families.
Please keep my contact information for future vacation planning.
We had a wonderful time. The house was fully furnished with all our needs. Owner was readily available for questions. The beach access was right across the street and not busy. Excellent place to stay!!
Loved this house. It was just enough room for all of us! Very clean! Great communication with Blenda. Had no problems while here. Very short walk to the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the property! We had everything we needed to make our vacation enjoyable! Only a short walk to the beach and we loved the hammocks on the canal and the outdoor shower.
Only issue we had was with all of the doors. They were quite hard to open and close.

We had our entire family together for the first time ever, for a week. The house had everything we needed & then some. Everyone had their own space & it's right across from the beach. My grandson loved the bunk beds! If we go back, we will definitely consider staying here again. Highly recommend.

We loved Blenda’s Property. Our family had a great time. The description of the property was rated 4 stars, because the pictures of the location needs to be updated a little. The house was clean, it just had a little sand in the upstairs and in a couple of stairs, but it wasn’t a big deal. We would definitely stay again!
House was perfect for our three families. We had 6 adults, 2 teens and dogs. Everyone had their own space when wanted and plenty of room to be together for #framily time.
Will definitely looks to see if this spot is available again when we get together.

Thank you for your kind words! Extended family time is priceless and is the absolute best thing about having a beach house! Come back and enjoy the newly remodeled kitchen and master bathroom next season! Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
Blenda is an amazing host. She was wonderful and super fast with communication. The house was perfect for our family of 12. We really enjoyed the canal in the back yard at night. And spent all day at the beach during the day. The house is in walking distance to the public beach access. The ice maker in the kitchen and the reverse osmosis water filler was a really nice to have!! Overall this is a wonderful beach house in Navarre.

Thank you for your kind words. Hopefully, you will plan a return visit soon!
The house was clean and convenient for our stay of 4 different families with 4 little children. Many toddler gadgets were available within the house reducing our luggage. The property manager was responsive. Unfortunately, a couple sets of doors were broken during our visit and we were told they’re in the process of replacing them. Each day, we were able to walk 3 houses down the block, cross the street and hit the public beach access.

THE DOORS HAVE BEEN REPLACED 😃
Home was close to public beach access but so close to the National forest that it was never busy. Had access and equipment to get out to the intercoastal via canal in back yard. Short drive into Navarre for groceries, restaurants and civilization if needed. Kitchen was well stocked and bedrooms/bathrooms met our needs. Living room was great place to hang out along with front and back porches. Watched sunsets and sunrises. Had toys and books to keep our little ones entertained, along with beach toys for big and little people.
Loved this large roomy beach house, with open living, dining, & kitchen area. Master suite upstairs w/updated bath, has a coffee maker, fridge, microwave, & private balcony was so nice. Grandkids loved the bunkbed room w/their own bath. We cooked almost every meal & plenty of dishes & seasonings there. Dont bring anything but food, your bathing suit, & sunscreen! Ice maker was nice. There are coolers, beach wagon, beach towels, toys, umbrella, canopy, you name it! Outdoor shower was a plus & helped keep sand out of house. Great communication w/owner, beautiful beach, & close access. The 2 bikes were a treat & the bike/running path right in front of house is wonderful. Kayaks were fun & views were great. Ocean was calm & clear. No complaints at all. Would definitely return.

Great house, very comfortable and spacious
The house is beautiful and well maintained It's between the sound and the beach. Beach is just a few minute walk away from the house. You will have to cross the road which we had hoped not to have to do but that's on us for not checking. House is fully stocked with everything you'd need for your stay which is not the norm with rental beach homes. It was spacious and comfortable for all of us. The kitchen has a bit too much stuff, honestly, hard to organize the cabinets.
The only thing that dampened our experience was an issue with beach towels. The owner claimed we had taken 7 of her beach towels and I had to buy her new ones. I didn't mind her asking me about them but once I told her I checked with everyone in our party and we didn't have them, that should have been the end of that discussion in my opinion. When you spend over $4k for a week, you are not likely to steal used beach towels. Anyway, I bought new towels and got my full deposit back but that's the reason for the 4 star rating. For the folks coming right after us, you'll have new towels on us and you probably won't have to deal with this but do take inventory of everything else just in case items mysteriously are not found.

So glad to hear that you enjoyed your vacation at our beach house. I will be there next week and will remove some of the kitchen items that appear to have been a bother.
In the VRBO description it clearly states that the home is across the road from the beach. Several pictures in the listing show the road and beach view on the opposite side.
As you know, I was at the beach 3 days before your arrival. I personally, laundered 8 beach towels and hung them in the hallway before leaving the house. Since there was NOone in the home before your arrival, I have no other explanation as to the 7 absent towels reported by housekeeping the day after your group left. We discussed this and I didn't accuse you of taking them personally. Perhaps some of your many dinner guests took them to the beach? I don't know where they went but I do know that they were there and as the person renting the home, you are responsible for your guests also. I had reports that there were more people in the house than was stated on the rental agreement. I could have retained the deposit for that alone but chose to give you the option of replacing the towels and giving back your deposit. I thank you for doing that. I have not had this issue before and have only retained 1 deposit in the rental history of this property. This was due to damages cause by a renting group, resulting in costly repairs well above the amount the deposit.
Navarre is a hidden gem. Blenda's house is very nice, very clean and as advertised. A real extra with the house having beach umbrellas, chairs, some toys and a cart to pull them to the beach with. Kept us from having to bring our own chairs and umbrellas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We greatly enjoyed our stay. Easy walk across the street to the beach. Could see the ocean from the front porch. Very helpful that chairs, toys, etc were available and we didn’t have to pack as much stuff. Hope to stay here again next year!

Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
The house was great and good communication with owner. Just a half block walk to beach and views from house were great..Only criticism is house was not as clean as others I have rented. Master bedroom had a couch on master bedroom that badly needed cleaning.

We've stayed at several properties at Navarre Beach, both on the beach and on the bay side. This is definitely now one of our top places to stay. It is well equipped with everything in the kitchen as well as beach toys and towels. The kayaks were a big plus as our family really enjoyed taking them out to the bay several times. The house is very clean and welcoming and the grandkids LOVED the bunk beds. The ocean view (and sounds) were so relaxing to enjoy from the master suite balcony. Even the dog enjoyed the trip with her own fenced yard. The short walk to the beach access was very convenient. Overall it was a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and we definitely recommend staying here.

About the host
Hosted by Blenda Thomas
IN farm family's winter retreat. Bought the home for a ‘vacation home’ but have lived here because of the relaxing atmosphere and beautiful views! Lately the grandchildren and great grandchildren are involved in summer activities that can’t be missed. Therefore decided to share this beloved home with others. Hope you enjoy it and the beautiful area!
Why they chose this property
Navarre Beach is one of the most beautiful places in the world. We have beautiful clear Gulf water with white sand - a Caribbean experience within the USA! The home is located across the street from the sea and has access to the canal behind the house. The canal leads to the Santa Rosa Sound which is perfect for kayaking and fishing. Navarre is centrally located between Pensacola Beach (10 miles west), Fort Walton Beach (15miles east) and Destin (20 miles to the east). The National Seashore between the home and Pensacola Beach is one of the most scenic drives in the Nation. It has recently been voted ‘Florida’s Best Attraction’. Navarre Beach is quiet and relaxing but ‘night life’ and great restaurants are abundant in either direction. Navarre Beach has 3 restaurants and 2 bars on the east end. There’s also beach volleyball offered where teens and adults can enjoy a game and socialize in the evenings. Local bands play weekly at ‘Tunes on the Dunes’ and there’s an outdoor movie shown weekly near the pier. The Pier is the longest pier on the Gulf coast and offers great views and fishing. When traveling west along the gulf coast, we were stopped by the traffic light and noticed the Navarre Beach sign. We drove across the bridge and realized this was a perfect retirement area. Once we saw this house, we knew it was going to be ours! We’ve made it as comfortable as possible for us and our family and hope that you love it as much as we do! Beautiful memories have been made here and we hope that your family will enjoy it as well.
What makes this property unique
Great family memories continue to be made as the home is comfortable and provides areas for ‘togetherness’ as well as ‘private time’. The beach has many shells and is just across the street. There are great restaurants nearby. A splash park/playground is just across the bridge. A great zoo is 10 miles west on hwy 98. There are 3 restaurants and 2 bars on the island. There’s a turtle sanctuary located at the East end park. Friendly neighborhood. Home is located in a quiet, residential community but ‘nightlife’ is available 10 miles west at Pensacola Beach or 15 miles east at Fort Walton Beach or 20 miles east at Destin. The home of the Blue Angels is 30 miles west at the Naval Base. The Naval Museum is also there. Fort Pickins is located west of Pensacola Beach. It is an historic military post and tours are offered. There’s also a museum there. Pensacola has a Minor League Baseball field and many restaurants and activities to enjoy. Navarre Beach is a truly enjoyable and beautiful area.
