Excursion destinations include the castle island in Mirow, the castle in Wesenberg, the residential town of Neustrelitz, Burg-Stargard (highlight for children: the summer toboggan run), the Rococo castle in Rheinsberg, the old town and the city harbor of Waren or the four-gate city of Neubrandenburg. Even Berlin, Potsdam or Rostock are not too far for a day trip. In the harbor village of Müritz there is a wide range of maritime activities for boat owners and for guests who want to charter a boat. From the Marina Müritz there is lock- and bridge-free access to the Müritz. You can rent open sports boats without a license or rent larger houseboats. It is also possible to get a boat license. You can also moor your own boat; there is a 90 t crane, a 3.2 ton pillar crane, a trailer parking space, marina shop and of course the shipyard service.
