Great time in Ohio

The property was beautiful, You could really see the owner's attention to detail. I loved the area and how close we were to everything we wanted to do. The owner was a pleasure and very helpful. Do not hesitate, the property is all that is described!

Great Place

This condo was exceptional clean! Everything that you could possible need was there for your use. Excellent mattress on all the beds. The view from the condo balcony of Lake Erie and the pool was so beautiful. I will be planning another stay at The Shores and at Bob and Rose's condo. They were excellent hostesses.

Perfect Quiet Getaway

We grew up nearby and have lived in several other states, always managing to stay by water with the exception of the past decade. There is something peaceful about being by water that we missed, and so we wanted to make a week of doing nothing but just enjoying it again. Firstly, let me acknowledge that there were a few missteps in the check-in process (e.g. missing gate/wifi codes, car occupying parking space) that were inconsistent with the information in the welcome email, however, I will say that the owner was fast and very friendly in responding to resolve these issues. They also continued to encourage us to contact them if anything else came up, but the rest of the stay was flawless! The unit itself was beautifully renovated and well stocked with an abundance of bath and beach towels as well as a very surprising array of kitchen goods! The view was amazing and the property itself is very well kept with a pool, hot tub, multiple lounging areas with a grilling station and fire pits, and even a small beach which was unexpected. It is in a good location by the highway for exploring nearby communities (high marks for the Metroparks system and the opportunity to spot bald eagles!), but also within walking distance to good dining options. Several nights we enjoyed walking to the lighthouse about a mile away just to listen to the water and watch birds or the sun set. It was just what we were hoping for and it was so perfect we didn't want to leave!

Nice place, friendly owner

Just a couple of issues with the property: other owners in complex were a little rigid towards visitors, the entry door had problems which made it difficult to unlock it from outside, and there were no blinds in the main room so it was very difficult to watch TV during daytime. Might have been a little clearer on instructions for arrival (someone was parked in designated spot, Wi-Fi details were incorrect), but minor details… Otherwise, loved the place - clean, plenty of space, nice pool and quiet lake area, relatively easy to get to visitor destinations.

Beautiful Condo! Great hosts!

We had a great stay in this condo. Everything was spotless and it is beautifully decorated. The owners were great to work with and very responsive when we had questions about how to work the tv. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Lovely, updated condo with beautiful view

Our family enjoyed staying here for a baseball tournament. The only issue was getting into unit because electronic key pad needed new batteries and we could not open the door nor leave a message in the full voicemail number posted on the door. We did eventually get help from the condo maintenance person who was fortunately still on the premises. Regarding accuracy of listing, I'd like to see something that lets renters know there are 40 stairs from parking area to front door of condo. The frequent nearby trains made sleeping challenging in the back bedroom.

safe get away during the pandemic

We had a beautiful view of Lake Erie. Great location, close to restaurants, easy drive to Kroger for food. We will recommend this property. The town had little traffic.

Perfect Getaway

We needed a break and getaway from our remote COVID working in our suburban Cleveland home. For years our summer vacation was being at the outer banks in North Carolina with our kids and family. No kids this year. But even though one of us had to work a couple of days for the week we rented, we felt like we were at a much more southern resort. The condo was perfect. Excellently appointed for much at home cooking (thanks COVID19), it was immaculately clean, beautifully updated and so turnkey. Even though we only used the bunk room as a dressing room, we could see many more than just us staying there comfortably. Centrally located to many outdoor dining spots, plus a quick drive to get to the ferry to put-in-bay, we couldn't ask for more. We totally lucked out with great weather all week, but the condo was well thought out with plenty of televisions and solid wifi if not ideal weather. Community Pool was set up for social distancing, but we're beach folks and didn't use the pool (but loved the view). Easy two second drive to that beach (can't blame the owner for the increased level of lake Erie taking up the beach in the community). Basically, all more than we expected and Rose and Bob, our hosts, did it all right. Book it soon. You won't regret it.

Great Location, Family-Friendly Place!

My family of 5 stayed here for a week-long vacation. Very clean, roomy, nicely-decorated condo. We enjoyed the nightly sunsets over Lake Erie from the balcony and the condo community’s pool. Great location to all of the popular Lake Erie attractions. We did the African Safari, (highly recommend if you have little kids), Put In Bay, Kelley’s Island, Lakeside, and East Harbor Park’s beach during our stay. The condo is also down the street from the Jet Express. Also great communication from the owners. Thanks again Bob and Rose!

Spectacular!

Love the condo hated the stairs! I guess you can't have everything but the place was beautiful! Looking out from the balcony the view was spectacular! I was in awe ! It's so refreshing to come to a place like ohio that has soon much to offer so close to home. I no longer have to drive to virginia beach or ocean city when I can play right in my own back yard. Pittsburgh just 3 and a half hour drive ! I love it!

Great vacation in Port Clinton-thanks Bob & Rose

We had a fantastic vacation in Port Clinton staying at Bob & Rose’s condo. The location is perfect right on Lake Erie with a glorious view. The amenities in the complex were perfect with the pool, hot tub and large area to lounge with rug plenty of seating. The condo was perfect for us and looked brand new due to recent renovations. It was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Bob & Rose were great to work with and responsive to our every need. We enjoyed touring the area with Cedar Point only 30 minutes away and our trip to Put In Bay was the highlight of our vacation. We highly recommend this condo as a great place to stay. Rod & Jeanne

Beautiful Condo!

Gorgeous condo! Very nicely decorated. Great location, easy access, close to everything! Perfect for small family or a couple. The furniture was comfortable, everything was immaculately clean. You have everything you could possibly need in the kitchen! The washer and dryer are super nice. Beautiful view of the lake! Great balcony with table and chairs, had breakfast out there every morning. Shopping, Kroger, Walmart, restaurants and entertainment are a short drive away! The owners were terrific to deal with. And our deposit was refunded shortly after checkout, per the contract terms. Overall a great place! It truly was home away from home and will definitely stay there again.

Very nice property, nice view of the lake, the condos interior was beautiful!

My wife and I stayed for two nights for our 25th anniversary. We loved the interior of the unit. It has a very nice view of the lake. It is short drive to Marblehead and also the Miller Ferry to Put in Bay. The pool and hot tub area is very well maintained and the pool is heated. Absolutely loved our stay and the owners were very accessible and friendly. Thank you so much Bob and Rose!

Fabulous!

This beautiful, renovated condo on Lake Erie in Port Clinton is enthusiastically recommended. The pictures represent it well but it is even more lovely in person. It is well appointed and the beds are very comfortable. The weather was beautiful so we were able to sit on the porch overlooking the lake, pool and manicured grounds. Jet Express boat to Put-in-Bay is a 5 minute drive. The owners were very responsive before and during our stay. A great find!

Owners are very responsive and helpful. Attention to detail throughout the house. All new furniture and appliances. Great kitchen space. Nice view across the lake. Convenient access to downtown and ferry to the islands. You won't be disappointed booking this place.

Rose and I have been married for 32 years and love the Lake Erie shores and islands. We have a home on Kelley's Island as well. We have 3 children all college graduates from Ohio schools. We have deep roots in the area and are very active in the community. We maintain our permanent residency in Olmsted Falls which is about an hour away.
