The Hayloft is a stylish one bedroom cottage situated only 800 yards from the wide expanse of golden sandy beach of Beadnell Bay. This is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, including sailing, kite surfing, sea kayaking and scuba diving. Beadnell is renowned as a holiday destination and offers local facilities including a village shop and pub serving good food. Just 1-mile up the coastline is the traditional fishing port of Seahouses, where boat trips, depart regularly from its harbour, to the nearby Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony.

Here there are also several charming tea rooms, quaint pubs, and shops. Horse riding, fishing, and golf on the links close, by being only a sample of the many amenities available in this popular location. A further 2 miles up the coastline is the picture-perfect village of Bamburgh, famous for its majestic fortress and Grace Darling Museum. The market town of Alnwick, with its own dramatic castle, is only a short drive inland. Visitors will enjoy a trip to Alnwick Garden, a spectacular interpretation of a formal garden including the Grand Cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe.
