The Neighborhood:
The small town of Bonnybridge sits north of the Forth and Clyde Canal near Falkirk. To the south-east of Bonnybridge is a well-preserved section of the Antonine Wall, and the remnants of Rough Castle Fort, the most complete of the surviving Roman forts of the wall. Within the town there is a selection of convenience stores and two pubs, Hardie’s Bar and the Old Station Bar. Nearby lies Torwood Castle, a 16th century structure two miles north-east of the town of Denny, whilst Plean Country Park is excellent walking and cycling amongst a wide variety of thriving animal and plant life. Ten miles north lies the city of Stirling, a fascinating city home to a great range of historic attractions and spectacular scenery, along with a host of eateries and shopping opportunities, ideal for a day out.
