The market town of Llanidloes nestles on the eastern slopes of the Cambrian Mountains, with access to some of the most unspoilt and undiscovered scenery both Wales and the Welsh/Shropshire Borders have to offer. Locally, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, with walking, cycling, riding, fishing, tennis, golf, swimming and shooting all available within 10 miles. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are a host of attractions: Powis Castle (National Trust), with its world famous gardens, is just 20 miles away; the Welsh Coast, with its fine beaches, is less than an hour’s drive; Rhayader and the Elan Valley are 40 minutes away; the Shropshire towns of Ludlow and Shrewsbury are within easy reach, as are the popular North Wales destinations of Llangollen and Snowdonia. A picturesque region, ideal for an action packed holiday or a relaxing break.
