JONE OLIVE TREE is situated on a 2,000m2 plot with an orchard and olive grove in the small, tranquil village of Poço Redondo, a perfect place to relax while maintaining the human touch of an inhabited place. It is located 15 minutes between the Castelo de Bode Dam reservoir and the city of Tomar. It has everything you might need, but you can also count on the support of a local contact whenever necessary.

The decoration is a mix of rustic elements with designer pieces in a house with an architect's signature. The house has a large indoor and outdoor social space, ideal for gatherings with family and friends. It is quite cool in summer thanks to the high ceilings and controlled solar gain in the architectural design, but it still has 2 air conditioning units in the common living area. For winter, we provide firewood for the cozy giant fireplace, and the four bedrooms have heaters.

In the rooms you will find 100% cotton hotel-grade bed linen and towels, pillows of various densities, and extra towels for use at the pool (yellow).

There is a small indoor pool, repurposed from an irrigation tank, very safe for young children. Use of the pool is exclusive to guests. Outside, there is a Balinese bed for relaxing, a small orchard where you can pick fruit, a basketball hoop, and a badminton court. You can also park 2 cars in the shade inside the property, under the carport.

In the patio, just outside the kitchen, there is a barbecue, table, benches, and a hammock, all in the shade, to enjoy the best of the countryside and the company of friends.

On the mezzanine, the house's chill-out area, there are also some board games and a dedicated workspace. The living room also has a power outlet with a USB charger, and the internet is high-speed fiber optic, free Wi-Fi. The password can be found on the router and in the guest book. For babies we have a cot/camp bed with sheets and a blanket, a changing table, and a high chair for meals.

We have a fully equipped kitchen with all the large and small appliances you might need, including a dishwasher and oven (due to energy restrictions, if using the oven you can only use 2 burners simultaneously). We don't have a washing machine, but we can provide contact information for places where you can get your laundry done. We have two coffee machines. The smaller one uses Delta Q capsules and the larger one uses Dolce Gusto capsules, which, in addition to coffee, also offers cappuccino, hot chocolate, and latte... We have olive oil, vinegar, salt, sugar, dishwasher tablets, detergent, and a scouring pad for hand washing. For the barbecue, we have everything, including charcoal. Please note that the quantities provided are sufficient for initial use and for the length of your stay.

In the bathroom we have toilet paper, liquid soap and hypoallergenic shower gel/shampoo. We also have a hairdryer. For pets we have a large sleeping cushion, water and food bowls, and a litter box for cats. Please do not allow them to use the bedding and if they use the sofas, please keep the striped blankets on them. The green area of ​​the property is fenced with a wall and high fencing so that animals can play freely and safely.

Less than 15km by car, there are several river beaches to enjoy on the banks of the Zêzere River. The charming Templar city of Tomar is less than 15 minutes away. Please note that there are no shops in the village, so you should do your shopping in advance. We welcome guests with some biscuits, tea and coffee. A 6-minute drive away is the Superfável grocery store, where you can buy the essentials for your stay. In Tomar you will find all the supermarkets, shops and services you need, within a 15-minute drive.

The whole area is very peaceful and quiet, and we are sure you will have a wonderful holiday at Casa Jone.

Casa Jone is managed by a company, and we have the local support of the wonderful Alexandra, who speaks several languages. Whenever possible, she will meet guests to assist with check-in, starting at 3:00 PM, and hand over the key, and will do the same for check-out, which is until 11:00 AM. These are our usual times, but exceptions may be made, to be arranged with the Host through the platform. Alexandra's contact information will be provided upon booking.

In keeping with Airbnb's usual policy, the house should be left as you received it. All trash should be disposed of; we have bins at the top of the street for general waste and recycling. Dirty dishes and leftover food should not be left. We also ask that you turn off all lights, TV, and air conditioning. Doors should be locked, and the key should be given to Alexandra at the agreed check-out time.
