Luxury lakefront 7 bedroom/6 bathroom home with gourmet kitchen & home theater
Why Jeff Smith chose Big Creek
After years of vacationing at Sunset Pointe, it was easy to say YES when this fabulous home went on the market. We instantly fell in love with the open floor plan and the amazing sunset views. Our kids love the double decker dock and large decks to play corn hole. This home allows for many memorable times with close friends and family. We truly hope you enjoy your stay here at Sunset Pointe.
What makes this House unique
Here at Sunset Pointe we like to enjoy many unique amenities. Including the large covered decks to eat lunch on or to enjoy morning cups of coffee. The double decker dock offers lots of fun for guests of all ages on a hot summer day. The shower in the master bedroom is to die for. The basement couches and bar allows for a perfect scene to watch Batman or college football games.

Favorite Time at the Lake
This house was great. Lots of room and upscale.
beautiful location, well built home with ample space and very well equipped for large groups
This New Year's week we gathered 20 of our family members from all over the country for a 5 night stay. The home was very well maintained, clean and had great spaces for gathering without feeling trapped. We were all impressed with the selection of cookware, glasses, plates and kitchen equipment. It is rare for us to find such a well equipped rental. Not trusting reviews, we all brought things for comfort that we ended up not needing. The bed linens were great quality and bath towels were abundant. We enjoyed both the outdoor and indoor fireplaces and made great use of both. I will say that the house became a little smokey inside after 5-6 hours of wood burning, however. Not a big deal, but noticeable.
One of the reasons for a 5 star rating from us was the responsiveness of the owner. When we arrived it was shortly after Christmas and the garbage outside (6 cans) were full and hadn't been picked up because of the holiday. I called the owner to find a solution because I knew that 20 of us would create a lot of trash in the next 5 days. He sent a private crew out to haul away the trash that same evening which gave us great confidence in his concern for our satisfaction.
We highly recommend a stay here for any large group. You will be pleased and find it very relaxing and beautiful.
The only three things I would offer for review in the hopes of improvement and/or caution are this; first - the pictures show a steep incline and it's no joke. Be ready to huff and puff when exploring the backyard, water and dock. But, you should know this already while doing your research of the area. Second, we consider ourselves pretty tech friendly folks but the tv and stereo system took awhile to get comfortable with. I think a well defined instruction sheet could be helpful for future guests. Lastly, a large tv in the main floor would be great. This would allow groups to enjoy the theatre downstairs and also allow for viewing in the main gathering area too. Keep in mind that our stay was during College Bowl week and Pro Football season ending games, so perhaps we would have cared less had we stayed in the summer.
Great property. Responsive owners. Highly recommended. Do yourself a favor and book it for your next large group gathering. Robert C
Sunset Pointe - Magnificent
A magnificent property - perfectly lined up to experience gorgeous Norris Lake sunsets. The house is so beautiful and the builder used high quality details inside and out. We had 15 in our party and we could cook every meal easily without getting in each others' way. Also amazing that we could all take showers and not run out of hot water!! Plenty of table space and 2 refrigerators. We had a lot of fun watching college football on the deck TV and playing corn hole. Great fire pit grouping between the house and the dock. Had fun watching the sunrise from the rocking chairs on the front porch. Wonderful house, wonderful property, and wonderful time!
We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at Sunset Pointe. You guys can come back and enjoy the house and lake whenever you would like.

Great Gathering Spot on Norris Lake for Families
Our family is spread out from the Midwest to Southeast, it is hard for us to have family get togethers. The only time we can have a get together is when we meet up at Sunset Pointe on Norris Lake, Tennessee for a week every summer. It’s a great location that isn’t too far away from anyone and the house is large enough that it can easily fit the eleven adults and five children that make up our group.
Every year we all look forward to this get together, and Sunset Pointe has always been a great location for us. Over the past five years we have been coming to Sunset Pointe, we have not faced any major issues that would prevent us from returning. The two owners (the previous one and the current one) have always been responsive and reliable if there were ever any problems with the house.
The house has a huge open kitchen with a dining room table for twelve. The main level is open and makes a great gathering spot for meals and fellowship. Another great area for dining, napping and games are the two outdoor deck areas. Each is on a different level and with a lot of the porch areas covered it means bad weather doesn’t confine you to the house. They also afford a great vantage spot to take in the beautiful lake views and picturesque sunsets.
Included with the home is a large, sturdy, aluminum dock that serves as floating rec center for fun days in and on the lake. You have two options to reach the dock: a steep but smooth concrete driveway, or a rustic stone path that, while long, provides a gradual decent to the dock. These have not been a challenge to most of us, but we recommend taking your time and using a cane or walking stick if you struggle with stairs or uneven paths.
The dock is perhaps our favorite part of the house. After breakfast each day you can find everyone on the dock listening to music, reading, playing cards, napping and, of course, in the water. The dock is two levels. You enter from a bridge that leads to the upper level of the dock, where there are beach chairs, loungers and a table with an umbrella. Some in our group hang their college flags over the railing on the far end of the dock. Also, on the upper level is a place where you can jump off into the clear, clean lake below. This is a favorite activity for our eleven-year-old, who can’t keep her feet on the ground. You can always find her and her cousin in the water either splashing around or going on adventures on our paddle board.
There are no floats or water vehicles that come with
We are glad that your family has enjoyed your vacations at Sunset Pointe. The property allows for a great time both indoors and especially outside. We will see you again next July.

Sunset Pointe is located approximately 30 minutes from Lafollette, TN so when possible, stock up on food and supplies before arrival at the house.
