WiFi and a selection of books and games are also provided. Outside, there is an enclosed rear garden with patio, lawn, furniture, and countryside views, along with off-road parking for 2 cars. Region: A E Housman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.

Town: The village of Gobowen lies just to the north of Oswestry and with two churches, a number of shops and pubs and a golf course on the outskirts, this is a lovely base with fantastic rail links to Chester and Shrewsbury. The local area is ideal for scenic walks and bike rides, especially along the Shropshire Union Canal, and a variety of exciting watersports are available on the nearby River Dee at Llangollen. Three miles away is old Oswestry, the site of a spectacular Iron Age Hill Fort, while today the town offers many historic buildings and a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants. Ellesmere, just eight miles away is home to the lovely Church of Saint Mary, a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants and entertainment on and around the nine meres (lakes) which surround the town. Stroll through Cremorne Gardens, enjoy fishing and sailing or explore Colemere Country Park with its wonderful wildlife and scenic walks. The whole area has something for everyone.
