About this property

2 Bed in Haworth (oc-c37865)

With a nod of acknowledgement to the industrial heritage of this area of West Yorkshire, this tastefully renovated 19th Century textile mill has been brought back to life with this beautifully designed apartment adding a modern twist to it. It is situated in the bottom of the valley and alongside the Keighley and Worth Valley steam railway. The centre of Haworth with its wide array of shops, cafés, and traditional pubs is only a relatively short walk away. The village itself, famed as the home of the Brontë sisters, is rich in heritage, its cobbled streets and timeless atmosphere inviting you to step back in time. Close to the picturesque Yorkshire Dales landscapes (15 miles) and on the edge of the Pennines, the area is perfect for walkers and cyclists, with scenic routes beginning right from the doorstep. Nearby highlights include the flowing Brontë Waterfall (2 miles), the World Heritage village of Saltaire (8miles) the market town of Skipton (12 miles), Halifax, with its impressive Piece Hall (8miles) and the beautiful spa town of Harrogate (25 miles).

The Cotton Mill is a comfortable and modern home from home, overlooking a historic and still active weaving mill, which also reminds you of the village’s rich industrial past. As you walk through the front door, you're welcomed into an inviting open hallway space, with a handy modern coat rack, shoe stand for your convenience and a bookcase. Through here and to the right is the open-plan living space, modern and comfortable, the well-equipped kitchen has everything you would need to enjoy your stay including a dishwasher and washing machine, as well as ambient lighting above the units to provide a cosy mood. The lounge area has two comfortable leather sofas and a Smart TV to enjoy at your leisure. This room has floor to ceiling windows that flood it with natural light and offer views over the shared garden and the steam railway. Here also you will find the dining table and four chairs, the perfect place for your sociable mealtimes. Back through the hallway, you’ll find a generously sized twin bedroom, equally bright and uplifting. Next door is a beautifully presented master bedroom with a comfortable double bed and the same floor to ceiling windows; both bedrooms have wardrobes and drawers to store your clothes away. Finally, the apartment boasts a contemporary bathroom with a large waterfall style walk-in shower and a WC.

Stepping outside, the Cotton Mill continues to impress with its own private balcony leading directly from the living space, the ideal spot to watch the steam trains rushing by while enjoying a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evenings. For added convenience, the property also benefits from a reserved parking space adjacent to the apartment and extra spaces located just opposite the building. There are also EV chargers for your use in the building’s car park opposite.
