Welcome to our 200 year old stone cottage, which has been tastefully renovated to provide comfortable accommodation fo r up to four guests. Our place has a cosy lounge and corner dining area, made more authentic with a characterful stone flagged floor. If you like a real fire, you’ll love the log burning stove ensconced in its original stone fireplace. Logs and kindling for the wood burning stove can be purchased locally or we can supply at a cost if given prior notice. To supplement this, there’s gas fired central heating. We have Netflix installed on the Smart TV.....please note, there is NO LIVE TV but as well as Netflix, you may choose to play one of our DVDs through the TV. We have a chromecast installed on the TV so you can cast from your smartphone/Tablet/Laptop onto the TV. Our fully fitted and well-equipped kitchen includes a fan oven, induction hob, microwave, refrigerator (no ice box), toaster and kettle. We leave the usual larder items of milk, tea, coffee, salt etc. Two comfortable double bedrooms are situated on the first floor. The bathroom is a double height room, beautifully lit by a skylight window and it has a bath with electric shower. To the rear, you’ll find a paved yard and to the front a small garden. The property is three minutes’ walk to Hebden Bridge railway station and five minutes’ walk to the centre of the town with its array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.
Unfortunately, there is no parking at the house and there are double yellow lines on the main road outside but there is a small pay and display car park just off the station approach road which is two or three minutes walk from the cottage. There are two other pay and display car parks very close to the cottage. You may park free on the main road towards Halifax.
* Please note that if your group includes children younger than five years of age we would like to make you aware of the following aspects of the property before booking.
The points for your consideration are as follows: • We are set up mainly for adults with two double beds and we don't provide any equipment such as stair gates, cots, baby bath etc. • The stairs are carpeted but please be advised that the lounge is stone-flagged with a largish carpet square in the middle and all other rooms are finished with varnished or painted floorboards. • The wood-burning stove can be a hazard for young children when in use - of course you could just run the central heating and wouldn't necessarily have to use this. • And finally, there are three stone steps from the kitchen out to the back yard.
On a plus point for the children, the cottage is situated across the road from the town park with a safely enclosed kiddies area and skate park for the older ones. On a plus point for everybody, there's Park Life Cafe, which sells lovely food and drinks and possibly ice cream in the warmer months (no promises on that though!)

About the host
Hosted by Anna Gibson
I am a painter and my studio is on the second floor of Linden Mill. The location is on Linden Road, which is a short walk across town. Please contact me if you'd like to visit. I have lived in the Hebden area for 20+ years with my husband and 3 children - now grown and out in the world! Having stayed in a significant number of holiday properties over the years I have absorbed a feeling for what makes for a comfortable stay in a holiday home. I hope that guests will be able to enjoy our home and their stay in Hebden Bridge.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property as we recognised that its location was so convenient for everything that Hebden Bridge has to offer. We completely renovated and reconfigured the property in 2017, please not the unusual arrangement in the bathroom.
