In the hamlet of Warenton, this stone-built former mill house offers a peaceful retreat with beautiful views of the rolling Northumberland countryside and dark, starry skies. The beautiful coastline is visible from the lane, with Budle Bay and its diverse bird life just 4.5 miles away. Bamburgh Castle, its sandy beach, and charming village are within seven miles, while pubs can be found in nearby Chatton and Belford. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, this property offers walking and cycling from the doorstep, with water sports available at Beadnell Bay. Other attractions include Holy Island, boat trips to the Farne Islands from Seahouses, and Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Accommodating up to six people, this family-friendly accommodation welcomes up to two dogs.
This welcoming former mill home retains plenty of character with exposed beams, high ceilings, and the original mill press as an interesting feature. The bright hallway provides storage for outdoor clothing and houses a utility cupboard with a washing machine. The sociable, open-plan kitchen/dining space features a large farmhouse-style table, perfect for family gatherings. The ground floor includes a twin bedroom with garden views and a family shower room. Upstairs, two king-size bedrooms feature vaulted ceilings and exposed beams, each with its own en-suite – one with a bath and WC offering sea views, the other with a shower and WC.
The spacious south-facing garden includes a lawn and patio area, ideal for dining alfresco while enjoying the beautiful starry night sky. The enclosed outdoor space is perfect for family games or relaxing with drinks. This retreat includes private parking for three cars and a bike shed for cyclists.
