Chequers Oast - East Sussex Countryside Family Home with Hot Tub and Pool
Welcome to Chequers Oast, a unique converted Victorian oast house nestled in the heart of the East Sussex countryside. Lovingly restored after serving as our family home for more than 30 years, it offers the perfect blend of historic character and modern comfort. Sleeping up to 7 guests across three double bedrooms and one single bedroom, Chequers Oast is ideal for families, couples and friends looking to relax, reconnect and explore beautiful 1066 Country. One of the highlights of the property is the private indoor swimming pool, where you can enjoy a swim whatever the weather. Outside, you'll find a spacious enclosed garden with a BBQ and plenty of seating for al fresco dining, while the hot tub (when available) is the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. Just a five-minute walk away is the friendly village of Catsfield, home to The White Hart, a traditional Sussex pub serving excellent food, a well-stocked village shop, a children's playground and recreation ground. Just beyond the village, Park Farm Shop is one of our favourite places for breakfast, coffee, homemade cakes and locally produced food. Chequers Oast is perfectly placed for discovering some of East Sussex's best-loved attractions. Walk a section of the famous 1066 Country Walk, explore the historic battlefield at Battle, browse the independent shops of Battle and Rye, enjoy the elegant seafront at Bexhill, wander the charming streets of Hastings Old Town or spend the day at the beach before returning home for an evening swim. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a family holiday or simply escaping to the countryside for a few days, Chequers Oast provides a peaceful and memorable setting in every season.
