About the property

Condo, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

Treat the ones you love to a stunning tour of Colorado's beautiful mountains and forests. A sleepy, isolated location lets you relax, whether from a day of thrilling skiing or lofty hikes. When you get back home, kick back with a modern atmosphere, alongside clubhouse amenities like a pool, hot tub, and sauna.

Thanks to its location in the small community of Wildernest, you and five other guests have easy access to the White River National Forest. Trails let you explore the breathtaking sights tucked away in the woods, as well as spot animals like deer, elk, or even moose and bears. In colder climates, the Summit Stage Bus provides free rides to the finest ski areas of Summit County. Keystone Mountain, Breckenridge, and Copper Mountain have plenty of slopes to experience.

After a long day of exploring, it can be nice to pamper yourself. A shared pool, hot tub, and sauna are yours to try. When you're fully relaxed, retreat back to your condo and admire the views of the trees and mountaintops from the living room. The balcony lets you take in more sights along with some fresh air. A wood-burning fireplace will warm you up back inside, with free WiFi plus cable and DVDs for entertainment on the flatscreen. The kitchen is steps away and comes equipped with all the tools you need for making a filling meal for your loved ones.

Reserve your stay now and prepare for a Colorado getaway you'll never forget!

Exactly what we wanted

  • 5 of 5

Exactly what we wanted for a brief vacation. Nice place at a reasonable price. Would've signed the guest book but I couldn't find a pen.

Great night sleep.

  • 4 of 5

The view was spectacular and loved the balcony. The beds were amazing and provided a great nights sleep. 😊 Was a bit disappointed with the pool/hot tub. No towels provided and very outdated.

nice condo

  • 5 of 5

The condo was well equipped and very well taken care of. There were 4 adults and an infant and we had plenty of room.

Loved our stay

  • 5 of 5

We went during the winter and the road was always kept clear. They had all the conveniences of home. Silverthorne is conventiently located. Parking was right at the stairwell, you have to go up two flights of stairs. The covered parking is a little tight if you have a SUV.

Mediocre

There were two big reasons we selected this property: one was that it has a fireplace. Having a crackling fire after a fun day on the slopes is so relaxing. When we got there, there were no matches with which to start a fire on the property. There was also a sign on the mantle that said to not use the fireplace so as to keep the clean mountain air clean. Our thoughts are that if the owners wanted to protect the environment, they'd fix the kitchen faucet that is difficult to shut off (to conserve water) AND they'd update the energy inefficient kitchen appliances from the 80's (to not use so much power) AND they'd use more energy efficient light bulbs. Those changes would benefit the environment ALL THE TIME, and not just sparingly, which is probably all the fireplace would actually be used.

Secondly, we choose this property bc they had a pool/hot tub. I have one expression for the pool area: ew! Mold, rust, mildew abound in this common area pool that I'd be surprised if it was maintained at all. Certainly not the owner's or the vacation rental manager's fault, but there should be a disclaimer so as to not lead potential renters astray.

Additionally, we had an issue and needed to contact the after-hours staff. There was no clear number to call, but we finally got ahold of someone on the third number we tried. They said they'd look into the issue and get back to us, but that didn't happen. There was no further contact. There's definitely room for improvement.

If you don't have any intentions to swim or have a real wood fire in the fireplace, and you don't mind fighting with the kitchen faucet, this property is just fine for a few nights. The views out the large patio doors are gorgeous

Owner's Response: We apologize for the disappointments and inconveniences this guest experienced during their visit. The sign on the fireplace is not meant to discourage all use of the fireplace, but meant to discourage the use of the fireplace as a main source of heat. The owner is currently switching to energy efficient light bulbs, and we have advised of the suggestion to switch to energy efficient appliances as well. We have also advised the HOA of the comments regarding the clubhouse amenities and hope they will have those addressed soon. Thank you!
