Beautiful Beachfront Condo Just Steps from the Gulf of Mexico

Hi everybody, we are happy to report that our unit incurred no damage and our association had only minimal damage due to the recent storms. It's all cleaned up and the place looks great and we fully reopened just a few weeks later! There have even been additional improvements since then. Also, while covid seems to be less of a concern now, please also note that our condo has its own separate entrance, there are no enclosed corridors or hallways to get to the unit, it is accessible by open air stairway (or by elevator) and it has its own independent HVAC system and air handler, so you are not sharing air from the neighboring room. We are keeping very high cleanliness standards for your protection. Also recently my brother purchased the unit right next to ours, so if you are looking to get two units together, or if mine is booked, let me know!

You will love our 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo with a spacious 1,100 square feet of room to call your own. This is a second floor condo but it is easily accessible with an elevator and multiple sets of stairs. It is also equipped with Wi-Fi. It is located on the gorgeous, uncrowded beaches of Longboat Key, and near the cultural haven of Sarasota. The condo is on the beach side of the island and has its own private beach area, with new lounge chairs on the beach and umbrellas in the condo for your use. There are no roads to cross to get to the beach. We are a smaller condo association so all of the units are very close to the beach and pool. We take very good care of our condo and make sure that it has nice mattresses, has a fully stocked kitchen, and lots of extras to make your stay enjoyable. Each unit comes with one dedicated parking space, but there are a few other visitor parking spots as well. This will be a vacation you will always remember.

Also, there is a management office on the property, with housekeeping and maintenance people, that is open seven days per week for your convenience. They are open 8 am to 4 pm to deliver your keys and parking pass and see to your needs. If you arrive after hours, they will leave your key in an envelope to the left of the office door, then just come and check in the following morning. Besides the office staff, there are two full time maintenance people to handle your needs. If you ever need anything, just give them a call or stop by the office which sits by the pool.

Our condo is very nice inside, the décor is beautiful and the bathrooms and kitchen are recently updated and gorgeous. The bathrooms have granite counters and beautiful tile and the kitchen cabinetry is very pretty, well made and functional. The kitchen also has new stainless steel appliances. The furnishings throughout are first class as well with new dining room furniture and all newer flooring and new kitchen countertops and backsplash. The view from this unit is out over the courtyard and pool, though you can see a little of the water and beach between the units to the west. This unit has a spacious Living Room as well as a Dining Room and a balcony with patio furniture as well. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and the guest bedroom has three twin beds, one being a trundle. There is also queen sized sleeper sofa and a single pull out sleeper chair in the living room.

Longboat Key

Longboat Key is a safe, quiet beach community. While there are restaurants (including one right next door) and stores for your needs, it is a very “residential” community compared to most beach front areas that can be crowded, have traffic congestion, and noisy. So, Longboat is perfect for relaxing with friends and family. You will enjoy the mild temperatures all year round, with highs in the winter months averaging in the low seventies and breezes off of the Gulf in the summer. The beaches in this area rate as tops in the nation by numerous publications and the beautiful white sandy beach directly in front of our condos is no exception. Spend time on the beach lounging and watching the birds, dolphins and occasional manatee as you enjoy the warm water and soft white sand! Longboat offers numerous activities as well; golfing, fishing (from shore or boat), biking, bird watching, walks along the beach or on the walking/biking trail that runs right by the resort are a few of the casual activities available on the island. All of your needed conveniences are nearby as well. Longboat has a large Publix grocery store, a CVS pharmacy, and several nice restaurants. It also has several churches and a synagogue right on the island. If this is your first visit, you will see why Longboat was recently rated the #2 island destination in North America by Conde Nast Traveler Magazine. Just across the bridge is St. Armands Circle, with numerous unique shops and outstanding restaurants. On the adjacent mainland is the city of Sarasota, with abundant cultural activities such as opera, museums, art exhibits and numerous dining and shopping opportunities. Included among them are the galleries of the Ringling Museum of Art and live theater at Van Wezel Performing Arts Center and Aloso Repertory Theatre. Other attractions are the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and Joan Durante Park. A family favorite, the Mote Marine Museum has Gulf related marine life exhibits and touching pools. Just over the bridge to the north is Ana Maria Island, full of shops, restaurants and other activities. Just about an hour up the interstate is Busch Gardens which has rides, shows, animal attractions and lots of fun for the whole family. Within about a three hour drive is Disney World in Orlando. The area around Longboat offers numerous other activities as well, so, while Longboat is quiet and peaceful, it isn’t isolated.

Our Development

Our development is, simply, gorgeous. Prior to our purchase, while staying at another complex, my wife and I were walking up the beach. The outside beauty of our condos tempted us to walk into the resort and take a look around, so we did. What we found was a newly renovated beach resort that has a tremendous outward appeal. It was then that we decided that this would be the focus of our search for a Florida condo. We discovered later that the association had recently completed an extensive renovation, and the results are beautiful. Many places in the area are overdue for such renovations, and ours stands out as a very upscale, modernized resort by comparison. Since our purchase, there have been many new improvements as well. Since the resort has only 60 total units, and only six in each building, it provides a very comfortable, casual and uncrowded atmosphere. We sit right on our own private, beautiful, soft white sandy beach (our beach is rated #2 in the U.S. in some national publications). We have a very large heated pool, tennis and basketball courts, shuffleboard, and grilling area. There is a large open grassy area for the children to play and beautiful landscaping all around. The resort has a full time staff and provides basketballs, tennis rackets, beach toys, lounge chairs around the pool and at the private beach area, beach umbrellas, linens, bath and beach towels. Located in the middle of the island, we have convenient access to all of the island’s pleasures. There are also two restaurants right next door, and many more within a short distance.
