LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION... Three steps from this beautiful home and you're on the sidewalk on historic Main Street in Blowing Rock. This newly updated luxury rental is the perfect spot for a family trip, romantic getaway or a special friends trip. The central pedestrian area in Blowing Rock stretches from the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum and St. Mary of the Hills on the south side of Main Street to the Speckled Trout and Camp Coffee Roasters on the north side, with the park as well as several shops and restaurants in between. Most people, including many locals, do not realize that there is a family home on Main Street within this central pedestrian area. They pass it riding down Main Street, and if they stop by the post office, they drive right alongside this quaint 1920's brick home as they exit. It's a quiet, happy little place right in the heart of Blowing Rock. A new private driveway allows you to park 2 cars on the property which makes your stay that much more convenient. The home has been completed updated with the finest furnishings and comes fully stocked with all your basic needs. You will feel right at home when you stay at "The Blake". This is the best house in Blowing Rock! Beautiful home decorated for the season in the perfect location. The owner is always responsive and helpful. Weā€™ve been to this house multiple times, and will continue to stay there! The kitchen is well equipped, the house is very clean and it is very secure. Canā€™t wait til our next stay!

Our family of 5 had a wonderful, relaxed week in The Blake-- you can"t get any more centrally located for exploring the town of Blowing Rock. Easy to get to hiking and enjoy the gorgeous fall colors and temperatures. The house was probably the best stocked vacation rental I have stayed in--with both kitchen and bath items available. Eric was extremely responsive and helpful and we would love a return visit.

Itā€™s true what they say - location, location, location - itā€™s unbeatable. There was no need for anything - the amenities provided were as if you were in your own home. The decor was so cute for fall. Close to shops, restaurants, parks, hiking, the blue ridge parkway. Five stars and would love to stay there again.

This is literally the perfect home base for a Blowing Rock adventure. The house was a great fit for our family of 4 and our dog but we could easily have had another family with kids join us. The upstairs loft is perfect for kids with beds and a hang out area with TV and table for games. The downstairs is cozy and welcoming. The house is perfectly equipped with all you would need for cooking and the bathroom toiletries are a great touch. Entry to the house was easy and all communications and expectations were super clear. We look forward to coming back again?

Charming house, amazing location, perfect getaway for our family! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Blake House. The location was so fun- being right on Main Street, we went in and out all day long getting coffee, browsing the shops, playing at the playground, getting ice creamā€¦ it was so convenient and fun to be right on Main Street and not have to worry about driving or parking. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch too. The house is so charming with wood floors and an old craftsman or farmhouse feel, but updated. Our teens/kids loved the loft space. The beds were comfy, and the house is stocked with anything you might need. Eric was available and ready if we had any questions about anything. We hope to return again soon! Thank you!!

We had the most wonderful experience staying at this beautiful home in Blowing Rock on Main Street. The location truly couldnā€™t be better ā€” we were just steps away from everything we needed, yet still enjoyed a quiet and peaceful atmosphere.I brought my mom, dad, and my two youngest children, and it was perfect for all of us. The home was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable for our multi-generational group. Every detail was thoughtfully provided, and it truly felt like a home away from home.We all agreed this was one of the best vacations we've ever had. Between the unbeatable location, stunning design, and pristine condition of the home, it exceeded all our expectations. A unique find!

This property couldn't be more convenient to anything and everything in Blowing Rock's downtown. Walk next door for coffee & breakfast, Mellow Mushroom pizza across the Street, Ember's in the new hotel across the Street. All in a minute walk. House is a 100 year old charming Craftsman. You won't find another like it!

Great house, great location

The Blake lives up to expectations re: amenities, location, lay-out. However, we would not stay here again because the main bathroom was not clean upon arrival and the host expressed questionable expectations re: guest responsibilities for cleaning (despite charging a considerable cleaning fee). Get another set of linens and a professional cleaner if you are going to expect tight turnover of the property and these issues will be fully resolved. Don't put it on guests to do your laundry.

In early October of 2020 I had the pleasure of purchasing this beautiful home from my dear friends Virginia and Ben. It has been a dream come true for me as I passed this home every day taking my little ones to school at Blowing Rock Elementary. My mom came here often to see her best friends who has had a home in Blowing Rock since the 1940s. Myself originally from St. Petersburg, FL has never loved a town so much. In 2018 I took that giant leap and moved our family from Florida to the beautiful quaint town of Blowing Rock, NC. My children and I currently live 10 min from main street in Blowing Rock and we couldn't imagine being anywhere else! "The Blake" is named after our youngest and only daughter Blake who is now 8 and I have two other children both boys, Brinker and Brooks. On behalf of our entire family we hope you love our little town as much as we do and that you fall in love with "The Blake" Eric, Brinker, Brooks and Blake Yourchisin
