About Baylee Maples

My name is Baylee. I grew up in Pigeon Forge/ Sevierville/Gatlinburg area. I can not imagine living anywhere else in the world . I love this area, its History, Hiking Trails, Dinner Shows and attractions. My family has been in the hospitality industry since the 1930's, when my great grandparents built a hotel in downtown Gatlinburg on the family Farm. It is the oldest hotel still standing in Gatlinburg today and is still in the family. Years later, my parents started a small rental company in Pigeon Forge. As a child, I did not realize being at the rental office was work, it was always fun and interesting. I have always dreamed of following in their footsteps. Now, I have started my future in the hospitality business. My goal is to provide accommodations for the same families year after year. I will help you plan the most amazing Smoky Mountain Vacation. Book my home today! Remember, you are on vacation(stress free). I am are here, because of you. Any questions or concerns give me a call or text 865-850-1997 or my cell 865-323-4674.

It's southern city limits adjoins the Spur, which is a part of the national park. The Spur has a direct, scenic by-pass route that takes you around Gatlinburg directly to the park. It is about six miles from Pigeon Forge via the Gatlinburg Bi-pass to the main entrance to the park near Gatlinburg. Pigeon Forge is a major vacation destination in the Tennessee Smoky Mountains, between Sevierville and Gatlinburg Tennessee, alongside the Little Pigeon River. Pigeon Forge's name derived from a forge once existing near the Old Mill (still standing today) and the Little Pigeon River that flows through most the city. Hundreds of attractions in and near Pigeon Forge entertain visitors of all ages. While many attractions fulfill thrill seekers, there are several activities just perfect for younger children. Restaurants, outlet stores, unique gift shops and more abound along the Pigeon Forge

I was very nervous to book seeing that Baylee was new to VRBO and had no reviews at the time. I thought this deal was too good to be true. The cabin was simple and amazing!! It was perfect for our needs and we would definitely stay again. There were a few negatives but they weren't big enough to stop us from staying but they are worth noting. The cabin isn't as private as it seems but definitely more private than some of the bigger chains. We could clearly see our neighbors hot tub and they could see into ours from their deck as well. We also heard a lot of traffic from the road, we heard police sirens multiple times, but it was 5 minutes to town and an easy drive so it was worth it. Another minor thing was that this cabin doesn't have a dish washer. We mostly ate out so only had a few cups to wash but if you will be cooking in the cabin this could be a bit of a pain. Overall GREAT cabin and we would stay there again!

                                                                  Owner's Response:

I was happy to make you a deal that seemed to good to be true. I am trying to grow my business and I know that I must stand out above the others. My cabin is geared toward couples for honeymoons, anniversaries and sweethearts together time. My kitchen is fully furnished for preparing meals or perhaps an occasional cup of coffee or delivery pizza. I was out today to check the deck and hot tub area. I left many trees in strategic areas to block the views next door and with the coming of spring and leaves I expect it to be totally private. I would love to have you stay in Weekend Runaway again in the near future.

                                                                  Thank you

We enjoyed waking up every morning to the beauty of the mtns and animals. We saw many deer at Cades cove. At night we enjoyed lighting up the fireplace and relaxing in comfy chairs and watching movies. The cabin had everything needed and an even added touch was keurig coffee maker for perfect morning coffee. It was great to have ability to cook meals at cabin but was only 5 minute drive to fine dining or burgers. I plan to make this our go-to place when we return to pigeon forge. The owners are wonderful down to earth people who take pride in providing a great experience for all.

The name of this forge referred to its location along the Little Pigeon River, in the vicinity of what is now the Old Mill. The name of the river comes from the flocks of passenger pigeons that frequented its banks at the time of the first Euro-American settlers' arrival. In the 1870s, a health resort was established in Pigeon Forge at Henderson Springs, adjacent to the Wear's Fort site on the town's north side. It was common during this period for the residents of large urban areas to visit mountain springs, the waters of which were thought to have health-restoring qualities.
