About David or Debbie Phelps

My husband and I got married almost in 2016 here in Brookings... I had just moved from Medford, Oregon, selling it all there (Business and Home), and buying this special, adorable home, returning to my High School roots here. My dream was always to return to this amazing place that holds such special memories for me. My husband also moved back here about 2 years before I did. He came back to help his aging mother in caring for his father, who had developed acute demensia. He was raised here, and we knew each other in High School. So when we got together, following a celebration of life for our former classmate, whom we both loved dearly, it was almost instant that we both knew we couldn't live without each

Turning our home into a vacation rental was always in our minds. We both love people, and want to share our cute home with you and make a little cash doing it! We owned a cleaning company (which we just sold), and recently purchased another home here in Brookings. Turning our beach home into a vacation rental has been fun and rewarding for us! We really hope you enjoy it as much as we do!!

David or Debbie Phelps purchased this house in 2015

3) A firepit is available out in back for cool nights and hot toddies. (subject to seasonal fire dangers posted locally).

Outstanding!

  • 5 of 5

This rental is one of the most relaxing, warm and inviting rentals we’ve ever rented. The home is exceptionally kept. Dave and Deb have thought of everything someone might need. This is definitely a 5 star rental and we look forward to the next time we go to Brookings so we can stay here again.

Beautiful views, super clean Property

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cute home. The rooms were spacious and the 3 decks offered gorgeous views of the ocean! We loved the walkability to the beach and harbor areas. The hot tub in the evenings provided a relaxing way to end the day. The chickens provided farm fresh eggs which were quite a treat. Hosts David and Debbie have done an amazing job to make the house feel very beachy and relaxing. Thank you for a lovely time. I only wished we had booked a week!

The house is very cozy, clean and bright.

  • 5 of 5

The location of this property is perfect for any direction we took for day trips. Lovely to come back for a hot tub, to see the sun setting and a few boats coming and going from the harbor in the distance. The house is very clean and comfortable, tall windows let the light in, and had all kitchen amenities we needed.

Thank you.

Wonderful weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We are from Chico, CA and met some long time friends from Portland, OR at this halfway point. We choose this sweet home after much searching...and we are SO glad we did!! Our collective 4 girls ranging from 2-8 were safe and entertained exploring the property and the older ones had a blast gathering eggs. The hosts were not only kind and accommodating, but extremely responsive and personable! Our families made amazing memories catching up in the hot tub and enjoying all there is to do close by. We had a beach day, a redwood hike, a candy store run and delicious coffee nearby. The home was well equipped...we ended up cooking every meal there! If you’re waffling between several homes, I would definitely stop searching and book this clean, comfortable and well appointed beach house. Thank you Dave & Debbie!

Property was close to coast and Hwy. Plenty of places near by to eat and explore. Would visit again.

  • 5 of 5

The place was perfect for my family of 5. Home was very well taken care of. Top of line appliances, microwave,dishwasher,fridge.laundry. Everything in working order. Plenty of windows and light pouring in and blinds if you choose not. Beds very comfy. Hot tub on patio to watch sun go down was terrific! Lots of flowers planted outside. Kids loved the chicken coup down below. Place had three decks to choose from. It was a great place to unwind after a day of exploring area. It was our first trip to west coast. Staying at this place was way better than any hotel. The owners were only a phone call away and willing to assist in anyway. It was close to others homes but still had privacy feel because of the way the property sits. I would definetly stay again someday down the road.

Great family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time during our 3 night stay. Debbie and Dave were very responsive to questions leading up to our stay. The location was wonderful with just a peek at the ocean from the hot tub. We enjoyed hiking in the Redwoods and doing a kayak trip with Smith River Kayaks. It was great to come back to comfy beds to rest before the next adventure. I highly recommend this place!
