Winter is here, and we are offering a Winter Special: 30 PERCENT OFF our usual winter rates, or $650 per night, excluding holidays, through February 14.
Come watch winter storms move across the lake; spy our resident eagle flying to his perch in the tree in front of our home; enjoy the scenery from our lake-view hot tub; or crank up the tunes and have a party in our fun, renovated boathouse with its built-in bar. Dine out at any of a number of star-quality restaurants in the Seattle area, then relax in the golden warmth of our mid-century modern home, watch a movie in our media room and sleep peacefully in our king suite above the stream.
Our home is designed for family and friend gatherings, and business groups. We’re ideally situated just 10 minutes from Microsoft, 15 minutes from Bellevue and 25 minutes from Seattle. Our lake home is a cost-effective hotel alternative, with much more space, communal gathering spots, a full, professional kitchen and a dream-worthy view. You’ll be able to enjoy all the fun and ambiance of a scenic lake retreat.
Five bedrooms (including two suites) and a supplementary space offer a wide variety of sleeping accommodations for 10-12, and there are plenty of gathering spots, with a spacious great room with window walls looking out over the lake and our gorgeous Northwest-style gardens. Downstairs, the Media Room has a 65-inch plasma TV with 5.1 surround sound and a Microsoft Xbox.
The Master Suite, on the main floor, with a spectacular lake view, has a tranquil, tree house ambiance and a large, view bathroom. Two lakefront bedrooms (one queen, one king) have floor-to-ceiling windows and French doors opening to a terrace. The Patio Suite (queen) has a walk-in shower and French doors opening to a side patio. The Queen Bedroom is a relaxing retreat off the main floor. And a supplemental room has a loft-style queen-size bed.
Our home was built for fun, with Sonos whole-house surround-sound and great indoor/outdoor spaces. Our renovated boathouse is a popular spot for drinks, with its bar and kitchen, plus a pro grill just outside. We have all the elements that make for a fun gathering, with a view hot tub, a balcony off the dining room with a spiral staircase, our own stream and a 1,400-square-foot recreational surface/dance floor alongside the lake. Our dock extends 80 feet out into the lake, and we offer a sit-on-top kayak and a canoe, for exploring the lake under your own power.
While Bellevue, Seattle and Redmond have star-quality restaurants (we’d love to share our recommendations), if you plan to eat in, we have a fabulous open kitchen with high-end appliances that’s well-stocked with everything you might possibly need, including lots of serving ware for gatherings. A view balcony off the kitchen has a spiral staircase down to the lake level.
When staying at our home it’s an easy drive to downtown Seattle, where you can explore the Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, the waterfront and top-notch museums (including the Museum of Flight and Paul Allen’s MoPOP). Seattle boasts some of the best farm-to-fork cuisine in the country, upscale shopping and exciting nightlife. Plus, Woodinville Wine Country, a valley cram-packed with wineries, is only 15 minutes away, with more than 100 tasting rooms. We’d love to help you find your favorite fun when you stay with us.
We are especially well-suited to help you find your favorite Northwest wines, dining-out experiences and attractions, since Brian (a designer/builder with a rock-and-roll background) has in-depth knowledge of our local wine and music scenes, and both Brian and Leslie (a longtime travel writer, editor and book author, including Michelin Pacific Northwest) are intimately familiar with local dining options. Leslie also regularly writes about Seattle attractions for various magazines.
Both of us absolutely love hosting, and enjoy learning more about your interests and helping you craft your perfect Seattle-area getaway!
Our home is in a wooded, residential lakefront neighborhood, just minutes from the Microsoft campus and Bellevue and Redmond, and only 25 minutes from Seattle. We’re just 20 minutes from Woodinville Wine Country, Washington’s top winery region, with more than 100 tasting rooms. To the east, we’re a half-hour from one of our state’s most iconic attractions, Snoqualmie Falls, a 268-foot waterfall. And there are numerous hiking trails in the Cascade foothills and mountains within easy access of I-90, within a half hour to an hour east.
