WELCOME TO CHARACTERS CORNER!

Welcome to Characters Corner, our Disney Vacation Home, located in the elegant gated community known as Formosa Gardens Estates. Our home is located only two and 1/2 miles from the main entrance to all of the Disney Parks! We are the original owners of this home having built it in 2002 and we make every effort to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. We have gone to great lengths to take what is the existing luxury standard for vacation homes a step further. We are constantly in the process of updating and re-furnishing our home to keep things nice and new. Cleanliness is our FIRST priority. We understand that there is a lot of variation in standards with vacation homes and it is our goal to make sure you are happy with our home. We take a lot of pride in making sure your stay is magical! We are very fortunate to have a property manager who lives IN the neighborhood and who will be available in the event that you need any type of assistance or have any issues during your stay. Our property manager only manages a small number of homes and it is for this reason that she is able to take such good care of our home. We have been told by many guests (on several occasions) that our home is the cleanest that they have ever rented. :)

Our home offers the following features and amenities: A huge in-ground pool for you and your guests to enjoy, surrounded by a hot tub/spa and a Mickey Mouse kiddie pool which both have waterfalls into the large in-ground pool. The Mickey Mouse pool is 18 inches deep in the center and six inches deep in Mickey's ears. Our pools' deck/lounging area is extra large in order to accommodate a large group of people comfortably. This is sooo important! We find that most people spend most of their time at the pool! (Us included!) The pool area also contains a comfortable outdoor dining area. Make special note of the size of our pool and deck as you will likely spend a lot of time there!

Our home is 3,500 square foot, (this includes the movie theater room!) It has six bedrooms, four bathrooms and is located on a very large and private lot. Three of the bedrooms are master suites (two king and one queen), all with en-suite bathrooms (one with a Jacuzzi tub). There are additionally two twin bedrooms containing two twin beds in each of these themed rooms..one of themed rooms is our NEMO room and the other is STAR WARS! Finally we also have a PRINCESS/ROYALTY themed bedroom and this bedroom offers a full sized Princess Carriage bed. The Princess/Royalty bedroom can be accessed through the main master bedroom french doors or the french doors can be locked and there is a separate/private entrance to this room from the living room.

All of our furnishings are top of the line designer, name brand furnishings from companies such as Broyhill, Lexington, Hooker, and of course, the Disney Store! All of our bedrooms offer Flat Screen TVs. The family room (which includes a leather sectional sofa ) includes a home theater surround sound system and an assortment of family-oriented DVDs will be provided. The bonus room/master suite (the only upstairs room) offers a king-size bed, along with an extra pull out sofa in the same room. There are additionally two pack'n'play cribs for the little ones!

Our gourmet kitchen, with island and attached eat-in kitchen table area offers all of the comforts of home, and more!! There is a separate formal dining room area, along with a formal living room. Additionally, the entire home is equipped with WIFI WIRELESS INTERNET ACCESS. And last but not least, our garage features new MOVIE THEATER ROOM, with a foosball table and some wonderful Mickey decor! Of course, there is a washer and dryer located on the first floor for your convenience.

Finally, we invite you inquire about a stay in our home. We are convinced that you will be so happy that you will want to return again and again. We have many guests who come back year after year!

This was our second stay at fabulous Characters Corner, and it was as wonderful as our first! If you were to buy a villa it'd be this one

This is a fantastic villa in a quiet neighbourhood. Excellent position for the theme parks. It was spotlessly clean and everyone was accommodated comfortably. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Just a few minor issues: items on listing that no longer exist (e.g. no free international calls, no DVDs or player in cinema room), community gate code change without warning, insufficient plastic tableware, single baking tray.

Excellent location, the furniture, mattresses and bedding are top of the line. The house was immaculate and my grand kids were saying "Whooa" from the foyer with the giant Mickey Mouse rug to Mickey as a topiary at the entryway welcoming you in. We have rented homes in the Kissimmee area for the last 29 years. Some of them we stayed in several times. When looking for a different place we found this gem. Heidi gets back to you quickly and really made us feel welcome. No scuffed up walls, no cheap bedding. People never talk about the beds and bedding in reviews.This family cares about the quality in their home. The movie theater gets cold from it's own AC unit. The pools and hot tub are excellent. Spend a little more and get a premium house! We'll defo be back in 2 or 3 years!

Wonderful Stay

Property was as shown in the photos. Layout was great for multi-generations to all have privacy and be comfortable with plenty of room to gather in common areas. Pool and hot tub were great and we wish we had the time to enjoy those more. Location was the best we’ve stayed in so far for a Disney location, so close to the parks and a main road that has anything you’d need, but still private and we felt safe. Would 100% try to stay here again.

Perfect oasis

We loved staying here. It was quiet , very clean with comfortable beds, air conditioning and a lovely family pool. The kitchen was well equipped and our toddler had high chair and toys to play with. As a family we enjoyed watching films in the cinema room and playing table football. It’s a house ideally suited to a family holiday it’s a peaceful oasis after the hectic disney parks ( which are only 15 minutes away) we had a couple of small problems which were sorted by Heidi within 5 minutes. Amazing. If you are thinking of booking it don’t hesitate!

Four Corners stay

We had a great experience at this property. It was clean and well maintained. The owner or property manager were very responsive with the couple very minor issues we had. The location was very quiet with the exception of a neighboring house that had a loud party on our last night there. Finally around 12-1am we called the # that was left on the refrigerator for noise complaints after 10pm and didn’t hear anything more shortly after our call. Overall great experience and we would stay again!

Wonderful Disney Vacation

We selected this house because of its location and Disney Theme. It was perfectly set up for our adult and children mix. The house was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool. There were good amounts of dishes, glasses, pots and pans etc. The only downside was we didn't notice that papergoods (paper towels, TP, Kleenex) were not included requiring an extra trip to the store. Everthing else was abundantly supplied. Will definitely recommend to anyone "doing Disney" as an extended family. Thank you so much for letting us use your beautiful home. Bob and Kim

Great, relaxing place for families

This house was fantastic and the owner, Heidi, is very responsive and welcoming. We were six people that stayed (it was originally 8 but changed after we rented) and it was perfect! There was lots of space to spread out, lots for everyone to do, and was overall very relaxing. The pool was particularly great because it had the kiddie pool for our two-year old which made swimming all the better! We house was clean and well taken care of and had great amenities. I appreciated that there were movies and books for the kids as well as really fun themed rooms for a variety of interests. They have clearly put a lot of thought and effort into making it a home away from home! I thought I would miss the convenience of staying at a Disney resort, but honestly, after seeing the lines for the buses, etc., this was a much better option for us. I would absolutely stay here again.

Characters Corner bliss!

We would rate this wonderful home 10 stars if we could. We stay in lots of short-term rentals, and this spacious and charmingly decorated house was far and away our favorite. We were a party of 9: three couples, a 9-year-old, and two teenagers. The layout of the house couldn’t have been more perfect for us. Each of the three master bedrooms with full bath—two on the first floor (one with connecting princess room) and one upstairs—has the feel of a private suite, so we all could get away to individual spaces when we needed to, but then could sit and relax and eat and chat in the beautiful big kitchen, dining room, living room, or theatre/game room, or—everybody’s favorite!—poolside. Our teenaged nieces shared the Star Wars room and were happy and comfortable. We relaxed in the pool and enjoyed the peace and quiet every evening after long days of fun at the theme parks. The dining table out by the pool was one of our favorite places to convene, though we also really appreciated the huge table in the dining room proper. Our travel times to the parks (leaving around 8:00 a.m.) were about 20-25 minutes to the Magic Kingdom, 15-20 minutes to Animal Kingdom and Epcot, and 30-35 minutes to Universal. We have nothing but rave reviews for Heidi, who responded to messages quickly and with the needed information. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We will absolutely book with Heidi again when we return to Orlando (and may return to Orlando just to stay in Characters Corner!).

Why they chose this property

We simply love Disney and the Orlando area in general! There is simply so much to do together as a family! I (Heidi) am a HUGE Disney fan... I love the parks, the water parks, the restaurants, the shopping... I simply fell in love with the magic of Disney years ago and that feeling has never gone away. We do also enjoy Universal/Sea World/Busch Gardens and going to our favorite beach, Clearwater Beach! I am also a runDisney addict!

What makes this property unique

Our home is located only 2 and 1/2 miles from Disney's main gate, 15-20 minutes from Universal/Sea World/Aquatica, and an hour from Busch Gardens! We've done it all and we love it. After a busy day at the parks, the kids love to hang out in their themed bedrooms, play in our game room, but most of all, swim, swim, swim! We designed our pool area with a very, very large deck area so there is room for everyone... and then some. I don't think you'll find a pool area like ours anywhere! Check out the photos of our Mickey Mouse kiddie pool... a hit for the little ones!
