When you stay at the Shipp's Cabin II, you will sleep to the sound of ocean waves and a gentle ocean breeze in this Luxurious beachfront villa. The twin sized murphy bunks make full sized adult sleeping arrangements comfortably for 6 adults.

This villa is conveniently located on the popular Isle of Palms Front Beach strand and set just behind the sawgrass dune where, from your balcony you'll enjoy a clear view of the ocean and the tropical surroundings, while experiencing a special privacy, out of view from onlooking beach crowds. The first floor elevation of this villa (ten steps up) and its location in the end building with a special cut-through walkway, make it an even shorter distance to and from the beach and the pool make it especially desirable in a complex with no elevators.

If you don't feel like grilling out at the beach side barbecue pits, you are only a stone's throw from the Banana Cabana, the new Coda Del Pesce (Italian Seafood), Coconut Joe's, Luke & Ollies Pizzaria, Acme Lowcountry Table, The Sea Biscuit and the world famous Windjammer beach bar and grill as well as the Front Beach shopping area. This condominium complex claims the only pier on the Front Beach strand and is private for your fishing or relaxation enjoyment.

Clean, efficient, owner makes the difference!

Cabin is as advertised. It is clean and efficient. It has cooking utensils, linens, towels, some beach supplies, and etc. It reminds me of a cruise ship cabin except with a kitchen. I loved the fact that there are shops and restaurants within walking distance. The beach is also very nice. The pool is also a nice bonus. The owner, Andy, is nice to work with and will try to accommodate your needs. We had to check out early due to some unforeseen circumstances and Andy was very understanding and accommodating. You can't ask for much more than that! So, if a small, clean, cabin is what you are looking for, I would definitely recommend renting this property from Andy Shipp.

Great little place

I am a single mother w/one (12yr old) son. He, his friend, and I stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. It isn't a big place but it was perfect for us. The condo itself was Clean, and Conveniently located. Wonderful!

As for the property.. The only complaint i have would be the condition of the pool. Honestly, I think someone needs to call dhec. It was absolutely filthy.

Owner's Response: We received a DHEC inspection on August 24th and out of 9 pools DHEC inspected in the area, 8 were shut down and we were the only pool that passed. See South Carolina DHEC inspection of pool permit #10-605-1 inspected on August 24, 2017. In the heaviest part of the season there can be 40 to 50 swimmers in the pool at one time and it is very difficult if not impossible to keep the pool free of hair and debris, even though the proper chemistry makes the pool safe for swimming. We apologize for the inconvenience and will attempt to address the situation at our upcoming board meeting. I hope you had a great time.

Absolutely GREAT

The cabin was exactly as advertised. 1st floor, close to beach access and pool. Very clean with comfortable beds (all including the pullout couch). Will definitely be staying here again. The convenience to everything around this cabin (shops, restaurants, beach, and pool) along with how easy management is to deal with makes this place made this trip awesome. Thank you!

Clean and close to beach

Overall it had everything that the kids and I needed, except no washer/dryer in room. My only complaints would be that the view from the balcony was the parking lot and there was no hot water when taking baths/showers. Otherwise the location and the area was very nice.

Owner's Response: The high lifeguard chairs on the balcony face the ocean. It's a beautiful view. There is a maintenance phone number provided to call in the event there is a problem with the equipment in the unit. Maintenance was never called about a hot water problem.

Great location

Wonderful location, with pool and beach right out the back door, and restaurants/shopping out the front door. The property itself is nice but really small. The photos make it appear much larger than it is. We were very tight with three adults sharing one bathroom and one bedroom.

A few things are not clearly outlined in the listing. First, check in/check out times, which you don't know until after you have reserved and paid. With a late 4 pm check in and very early 10 am check out (and online notes from the owner NOT to ask for an extension on either end of the stay), you are paying for the full rate for two short, partial days. Also, the description reads as if the unit has a washer/dryer, and it does not. Instead, there are shared public laundry facilities on the property.
