When you enter the property through the beautiful stone entrance you immediately see the stone fountain and above the vineyards that stretch to the top of the hill. There is also a Perigord truffle field on the east side of the vineyards.
The Chez Josephine restaurant, and tasting room are in the first building on Bordeaux lane. You can find additional information on the website that bears the vineyards name. Between the restaurant and lodge is an open-air hot tub building surrounded on three sides by lattice for privacy. It is a great place to relax and look at the river as it flows by with its melodious sounds. What can be better than being there while sipping on champagne!
The lodge is the next building on Bordeaux Lane. I has two rental units that sleep two each. Above is the Cedar apartment that sleeps eight.
The Party Place is the building that is next door to the lodge. It is a place that you can use when you book all the units (together/same stay). It allows you to dine and watch TV together. This building has one covered and uncovered deck, an inside and outside fireplace. The alfresco fireplace is surrounded by a rose garden over a pebble ground, with Adirondack tables and chairs. This is the place to be when you want to roast S Mores and sip wine and mingle with the other guests.

In June of 1940 there was a 1 in a 100 year flood that affected the entire Yadkin Valley and destroyed many mills and other structures on the yadkin and Roaring Rivers. It destroyed the dam that operated the Brewer Mills, and released 6 feet of silt on the mills machineries - the never operated after the flood. The W. Kerr Scott Dam and Reservoir was built to prevent this type of flash flooding. It is a 1,475-acre artificial lake impounded by a dam located in Wilkes County, North Carolina. It is located on the Yadkin River system.

The vineyards grows the following grapes: Chardonnay, Chardonel, Viognier, Traminette, Merlot, Chambourcin, Cabernet Sauvignon, Norton. We are also experimenting with other types of grapes.
There is a 2-acre truffle field that we hope will produce Perigord Truffles that is used in food recipes and are considered a delicacy.
The field was planted 9 years a ago with oak and hazelnut trees in a specific pattern that maximizes growth and sustainability. It is still an experiment and we hope to harvest the truffles in a couple years. The truffle sniffing dogs found evidence of truffles by the rings that appear around the tree bases .
Our vineyard is a hidden gem in the foothills of the NC mountains close to Stone Mountain State Park, the Blue Ridge Parkway, and many other local attractions such as moonshine distilleries, other vineyards, antiquing, and much more. There are many events that are very popular such as: Merle Fest in April (see wilkes Community college for events), Apple festival in North Wilkesboro (end of September), music festival in summer and fall, and many more.
