I was born in Seattle and have lived in San Francisco and Honolulu over the years but this remains HOME. I went to the University of Washington and grew up in the Shoreline area. I love the energy of the city but treasure the smells of my fir trees and beach here in Poulsbo. This little corner of the world offers convenience and escape both. I love my garden, my cozy home and the grandeur of the views we have here. Water and mountains!
sandra purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why sandra chose Kitsap County
My husband and I bought this beautiful home on the water and have enjoyed every minute of it! The wildlife surrounds us with eagles, seals and even whales. I love the garden and the feeling we're miles away from the busy city but really it's only a short drive away. The town of Poulsbo is even a quick 3 mile walk! There's golfing, casino life, theatres and restaurants and everything you might want close by but when you're in the hammock you feel peaceful and away from it all!
What makes this Cottage unique
Your walk to the beach will take you 30 seconds. The view from the kitchen window is out toward the water through the garden. The kayaks are waiting for you to explore the shoreline. The fire pit is ready for marshmallows or simply a quiet night in the Adirondack chairs with a glass of wine. Whitehorse Golf Course is 25 minutes away. Clearwater Casino is a 5 minute drive. Shopping in Silverdale is only 15 minutes away and the little town of Poulsbo with Sluys Bakery is just 3 miles away. The ferry to Seattle and all it has to offer is just 20 minutes away too. These are the reasons I LOVE THIS PLACE! And I hope you will too.....

Wish I could give 6 stars!
The cottage is adorable, spotless, and exactly as advertised. Sandi could not have been a kinder or more helpful host. We loved the fire pit, with its gorgeous oceanfront views. Kayaking in Liberty Bay was amazing. Highly recommend this property! We will definitely be back!
Extremely clean, unique, upscale cottage.
Great experience in a great cottage. Sandi was a delightful host. We will try to return.
Marilyn it was a joy to meet you! Next time leave a day to explore in the kayaks!
Hospitality was great at this quaint cottage!
The owner was very thoughtful in regards to your comfort and enjoyment of your stay. She has a chalk board with a handwritten welcome, a binder with all the information you’ll need for your stay and extra blankets for those cold nights just to name a few. She provided fire wood for the fire pit by the beach. There is kayaking if you are so inclined and the weather is right. The cottage is well equipped too. It’s nicely decorated and comfortable. The bathroom has a large shower and heated floors! We didn’t get to stay the whole time we booked unfortunately. But the time we had there we enjoyed. One thing I’d have to mention is the cottage is in front of the residence. We thought we had the wrong place when we pulled up in the driveway and were concerned after learning it was the right place, privacy would be an issue. All in all though we enjoyed our stay and would, if the opportunity ever arised, book the cottage again. Thank you Sandi for sharing your beautiful property! -Jeff
Jeff thanks for the beautiful review! I hope you DO come back and stay for longer with time to roast some S’Mores! I’m going to be sure the photo of the layout of the property is online so people can see where the cottage is in regards to the main house. Thanks for pointing that out. Some outdoor space is shared but I honor my guests privacy. Come again!
Haven't always had the best experiences with VRBO but this was excellent.
Exactly as advertised, beautiful apartment in a gorgeous setting.
Thank you David! I'd love to have you come back soon or send your friends! The kayaks are ready for the beautiful summer weather!
This is a great place to stay for a relaxing time!
We recently enjoyed a stay at the Beach Suite on Lemolo in Kitsap County and I would be glad to stay there again in the future. It’s a comfortable cottage in a quiet setting just the right size for a couple -- featuring a bathroom with heat in the flooring, spacious shower, television, microwave, and refrigerator. There’s beach access within a short walk from the cottage (with a fire pit available for use if you wish). It is located close to downtown Poulsbo with lots to see and do (be sure to visit Sluys Bakery), the Bloedel Reserve (a great outdoor experience), and several wineries--and you are within about a twenty minute drive to Silverdale (where you’ll find more restaurants and the Kitsap Mall). This is a great place to stay for a relaxing time!
Thank you John for the great review! I hope you visit again soon! I’ll have S’Mores and the fire waiting for you!
I enjoyed my time. Lovely location. Very clean and Sandi was extremely kind and a sweet host.
I rent cabins and cottages pretty often just to get away but this one was equipped with everything I needed. Pots pans, cleaning supply. Everything you need for your stay. Highly recommend!
Thank you! I hope you come back in better weather and enjoy the kayaks this time!
I've listed the activities that are within 15 minutes of the Beach Suite but the Olympic National Park offers many more such as skiing and rock climbing. Then there are the lavender fields up north in Sequim and the ferry to Victoria out of Port Angeles.
