House was well stocked and had everything that we needed. We also like the location. The washer didn’t work that well and it would be nice if there was a floating dock/launching dock to put the kayaks and sups in and out of the water easier. Overall, we enjoyed our say. Thanks

Great views but a HOT stay.

The house was ok. A great location for 4x4 beach, restaurants, and sound access. However, everyday after spending the day on the beach we would come home to a 80 degree house. Cooking makes it hot as well. There was no reprieve. The system would almost get caught up overnight to just begin to heat up again. An mini-split in the living room could eliminate this issue altogether. It was miserable being in the house from 11-6. We tried to stay out most of that time. The listing also talks about the chef, in your party, having everything needed. We didn’t have a frying pan, a pot big enough to steam crab legs, and the trash compactor is a little over whelming. We also had issues with the smoke detectors going off in the middle of the night. The sunsets were amazing and we saw somereally great storms come across the sound. IDK if we would stay here again.

Please know we are always eager to address any shortcoming as soon as it is brought to our attention. Our internal systems have no record of you contacting us during your stay. We would have loved to have one of our HVAC service providers check out the systems there to make you all more comfortable. We have also passed on your suggestions regarding a large steamer pot to the owner of the home and we have replaced the missing frying pan thanks to your mention of its absence in this review. If you choose to vacation in this home again next year, the HVAC will be in working order. If not, we look forward to finding another home that is a perfect fit for you and your family! - Your Friends at Surf or Sound Realty

Sound side in Avon

We had a great week for our second trip to OBX. The views from the property were amazing with awesome sunsets and an awesome deck to enjoy it from. Location is great. Not too far from anything. Would stay again.

Great Location, Cozy Home

Unlike the five-story McMansions that now dominate the OBX skyline, this modest three-bedroom home was cozy, well-stocked, and very comfortable. As a cooking family, we found everything we needed to cook (including a panini press!). As a family on vacation, we found everything we needed when we didn't cook and brought food back from local restaurants. The sunsets and views were spectacular.
