Come out to the quiet and tranquil country setting on the Llano River. Sit back and relax while gazing and listening to the crystal clear water trickling over the granite rock outcroppings. Enjoy the modern conveniences in the freshly remodeled river cabin. Families are welcome with lots of room to roam for children of all ages. Their is plenty of gradule sloping land between the cabin and river for play. The cabin is safely located approximately 150 yards from the waters edge out of any flood plains. Come out and enjoy outdoor cooking, grilling or smoking while taking in the distant views from the huge deck. Their is a small fire pit with wood provided for some s’more roasting! Several kayaks are available for use if you decide to venture down the incredible Llano river and take in the Hill Country. The river is approximately 200’ wide at the property offering 2 rapids locations directly in front of the property. One rapid is close to the bank with easy access and the other is in the middle of the river. The water depth is from gravely shallows close to the bank to deeper type holes out towards the middle. Several trees shade the bank for your favorite lawn chair and one tree shades the river next to the small rapid gravely area. Wildlife is abundant in the area with a possibility of seeing the beaver that lives in the area. The fishing is great in this area with catfish and bass. The property has plenty to offer if you love the outdoors and is quite comfortable to rest up and catch some peaceful sleep.

Beautiful Location with River Access
The owner, Patrick, was very nice to work with. This is rustic living with close neighbors but not so close that you notice them. When we were there the Llano River was flooded so the land in front of the river with rocky outcroppings held pools of water. Our granddaughter loved stomping thru all the puddles with her boots.
The cabin is clean, bright and very open. Kitchen has basic essentials but no cooktop - there is no stove or cooktop in the cabin. What is in the kitchen is an antique gas cookstove that is decorative only. To heat water, you have to go outside to the grill and burner. Try using that in the rain! I tried cooking pancakes on it, hard to adjust the heat so they ended up slightly burnt. This is the reason for the 4-star rating. If you are planning a family get together its either grill or microwave (convection oven combo).
Each room has its own window air conditioner which kept the rooms cool enough. Bath had plenty of towels and the shower was big with glass doors. The two bedrooms were basic but comfortable. Livingroom had a large couch with a TV (limited channels) and DVD player. The hutch by the door had some older DVD's, games and puzzles. If you want to entertain your kids inside I'd bring your own DVD's.
Coming in and out I ended up putting a shower rug that we brought by the slider, they had only one rug by the kitchen door and with all the rain the grounds were muddy.
The outside is the best part of this house with the large porch and places to sit in the yard in good weather. I'd suggest they add a bench by the rocky outcroppings before the river so you can sit there and watch the kids or the river. We did see some stars between the clouds but not well enough to photograph.
The cabin had a log of animals that have been seen, we saw a turtle a deer and hummers by the feeder.
Finding the cabin at night can be tricky as the house number is on the fence and does not illuminate at night. By process of ellimination we found the driveway.
If you don't mind the lack of a cooktop or stove and enjoy river access and fishing than this would be a great place for your to rent.
Great spot! Loved it!
Great spot on the river. Loved it!
Perfect get away from the city
My family had a wonderful time fishing and splashing along the river. It was a perfect get away before the stressful school year. The house is very clean and nicely made up. The local BBQ was a huge hit so we may be back!
Lazy river days and starry nights
Very clean and well-maintained. Easy walk across the property to access the river. Out on the deck, there's a nice grill with a burner. Couple of pans, grilling utensils and a cutting board are provided (for those wondering about packing cooking supplies). Since there's no stove in the house, I may bring my instant pot or crockpot next time. We spent most of our days in the river and evenings on the awesome deck. Lots of bugs since you’re in the country but only saw a couple mosquitoes. I think the nearest grocery store is about 10 min away in Llano. We stopped at the new HEB in Marble Falls on our way in from Houston. Patrick, the owner was very accessible and quick to respond to any questions before and during our trip. He was even gracious enough to let us have a late check out so we could enjoy one more morning at the river. Highly recommend this home!!
Private cabin with easy access to the river!
We loved staying at this cabin and will again for sure! The river access was great and it was wonderful to be able to fish and hang out in the water. When the river is higher, will be great to use the Kayaks they have on site. On site grill was awesome and we used it several times. There is also easy access to either Llano or Castell. Check out the Castell General Store for great BBQ.
Exceeded expectations! Perfect riverside cabin
The owners have thought of everything in this cabin. You only need to bring food and clothes. The river is close and beautiful. We spent our whole time swimming, fishing, and looking for rocks. At night, we made s'mores in the firepit. The stars are bright and wonderful. Llano is just minutes away for a great cup of expresso and friendly people to visit with. This is the best place we have stayed at to date. We are planning a return trip asap!! Don't miss this hidden gem!
