Relax and enjoy ocean and harbor views from this beautifully landscaped California cottage style home situated on a very quiet double lot (half acre) on Santa Barbara's famous 'Riviera'. This warm and family-friendly four - five bedroom three bath home offers the luxury of a fine hotel and all the comforts of a home. Just one an one half miles from East Beach and State Street you are moments away from both the ocean and the heart of downtown Santa Barbara. (You are also moments away from the world famous Santa Barbara Zoological Gardens, the Natural History Museum, the Art Museum, the Botanical Gardens, and the beautifully restored Grenada Theater and the Santa Barbara County Bowl.)

The beautifully decorated living room boasts hardwood floors, an Italian marble fireplace (with all the firewood you will need) and a baby grand piano. The living room opens up to a casual dining room that easily accommodates eight for dinner. Both of these rooms offer a beautiful ocean view. The separate TV/entertainment room is great for the kids with large 52' High Definition Samsung flat screen TV, Blue Ray DVD, multiple CD player, VHS, and surround sound - it's also at the opposite end of the house so Mom and Dad can enjoy the Master Bedroom which has its own top of the line entertainment center.

There are hardwood, travertine and tile floors throughout keeping the home cool and comfortable throughout the summer months. The large bay windows and four sets of French doors provide plenty of natural interior light. The bathrooms and laundry room have recently been beautifully remodeled and upgraded.

In the backyard you can enjoy the large salt water pool (20 feet x 40 feet) and eight person Jacuzzi surrounded by beautiful flagstone. The pool comes with a fully retractable cover which keeps the pool safe, warm and clean. There is also a full size trampoline (with a safety net) and a basketball net for the more active. The back yard deck and patio area is surrounded by attractive planters and is perfect for summer meals with friends and family; the deck table sits eight comfortably. Grill or sear (think ahi tuna!) on the 52 inch Vintage gas barbecue grill or cook in the fully stocked gourmet kitchen which boasts top line appliances (Viking, Thermador, etc.). Enjoy your meal watching the sailboats cruise in and out of the harbor with the spectacular Santa Barbara Channel Islands as a backdrop.

The front yard has a covered brick patio with a his and hers rocking chairs opening to a large lawn which can easily accommodate a full Croquet field (we have had many a wicked tournament here!). The lemon, lime, persimon, mandarin, cherry guava and orange trees provide additional ambiance and tranquility to this charming property.

There is enough parking for three cars in the driveway and plenty of additional parking is available 24 hours on the streets both in front and behind the property.

We love our home and have made every effort to make it as warm and inviting as we possibly can. We have entertained many family and friends in the twenty-two years we have lived here and are always striving to improve each experience. We believe our home is an ideal get away for a family or group of close friends who seek the true 'Santa Barbara Experience'. I purchased this beautiful home in August 1988. I fell in love with it immediately, and never had any desire to sell or live anywhere else.

Swimming early in the morning, hot tubbing after a long day at work, and sharing a meal with friends and family on the rear deck, while listening to all the birds and watching the sailboats.
