VERY refreshing!!

I loved it here!! There was always an adventure!! Mother Nature was at her prime. I only wish we had seen a moose, but we did see loons, red fox, and a bald eagle.

We had the most wonderful family vacation at this beautiful cabin with gorgeous sunsets every night. A very secluded location, it was just us and the cry of the loons! It was so peaceful, relaxing but with plenty to do at the cabin. Kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, fishing, floating on rafts, enjoying a book in the screened-in porch or drinking morning coffee on the dock.We went hiking at Shin Pond Falls and Mt Katahdin. We can't say enough great things about this place! The cabin itself is beautiful, like something out of a magazine, with very comfortable beds, full kitchen and cozy fireplace on the cool mornings or nights. The owner and caretakers are awesome, very helpful and always available. Highly recommend!

Splendid Seclusion.

  • 5 of 5

Waking up to that view each morning was bliss.

I stayed at Rockabema with 3 - 15 year old boys who never stopped enjoying what the lake had to offer for the entire week. We paddled, and fished, and swam, and cooked, and enjoyed lakeside fires. Bald eagles soared over me while fishing. (I caught my first land locked salmon). The loons called every sun up and sunset.

When the boys were out exploring I relished the incredible peace and beauty.

Such well appointed comfort in such a secluded location. Kudos to the owners for creating such an amazing place.

Quiet, Private and Luxurious!

  • 5 of 5

Easily the loveliest vacation home we have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The property was immaculate and the caretakers were friendly and helpful. Everything you could possibly need is provided and no small detail is left to chance. Although we didn't bring children this time, the children's bunk room was beautifully decorated right down to a teddy bear on every bunk! The high quality of all the bedding made for a very restful stay. Rockabema and the surrounding area is a fly fisherman's paradise. Wildlife abounds and we enjoyed hours of peaceful bird watching. The camp also had a great selection of reading material featuring local authors and content. We especially enjoyed the books written by retired local game warden Randall Probert. Those were a particularly wonderful touch which we truly enjoyed. This was a vacation to remember!

Rockabema was wonderful. The setting is perfect, beauty, solitude, and absolute peace. The cabin is great. The first rental I've ever had that the owner has thought of your every need, and I have rented many.

A Magical Cabin in the Woods :)

  • 5 of 5

The listing description for this property is accurate. Photos can't fully capture the beauty, peacefulness and interesting character of the cabin and the lake. Nature at it's best! We enjoyed watching loons daily on the lake, enjoying their beautiful calls. Other highlights were kayaking on the lake and observing bald eagles, otters and beaver. The property is very well maintained, clean and well equipped. The owner was easy to work with and provided good customer service. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and family. PERFECT PLACE TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL!!
