Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
unprofessional, and was not able to check in after a long day of work.
We originally received a call from the host at 11:40 AM on 5/5/23 asking us if we would be able to delay our check-in on this date from 4PM to 6PM as the house cleaning would take longer than expected. A later check-in was not an issue on our end, so we agreed to a revised, 6 PM check-in. We arrived to check-in at approximately 8:00PM on 5/5/23 (later than the agreed upon time) and the host was still onsite on the property. He told us that he still needed to finish cleaning the house and garage. In addition, he said he still needed to move stuff out of the garage, and requested us to move some large, landscaping rocks in the backyard of his property. We waited in the driveway for approximately 45 minutes and the Host was still working on his property and we were unable to check-in, so we found alternate lodging.
The Host then sent me a text message at 11:06 PM on 5/5/23 saying the property was ready for check- in. He finally called at 11:23 on 5/05/23. I did not answer this call as I was sleeping. By this time, we had found alternate lodging . I would like to point out that the host’s behavior through this whole ordeal was extremely unprofessional (not communicating accurate check-in times which wasted our time, requesting that we assist in moving landscaping rocks as well as calling after 11PM while we are asleep).
