This house was the perfect place to call home while we were visiting beautiful Bonavista. It was clean, quiet, comfortable and the view of the ocean from the back yard was spectacular! Thanks for sharing your lovely home!
Great location to visit the Bonavista area. Enjoyed dinner at Skippers. A highlight was sitting in the backyard with complete quiet enjoying the view. Thank you Luke and MarkDave & Mary Port Dover Ontario.

Wonderful traditional home close to several must do’s.The welcoming gift was appreciated. The house is very well stocked with almost everything you could need.Would definitely stay again.
A very comfortable, clean, well stocked home. Hosts provide several little extras which are much appreciated. Like: welcome gift of wine & chocolates, as well as the use of locally made high quality soaps. We enjoyed our stay.
We had a wonderful stay here. The place was peaceful, clean, tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need ! The local products around the house are a nice touch. The view is absolutely incredible as well as the sunsets ! We were lucky enough to see icebergs in town all week ! The house is well situated, close to several sites ! If you’re planning on staying in Bonavista : look no further !
The location was perfect as it allowed us to do all the local tours/restaurants with the maximum distance to travel 5 miles. [Elliston]. Places we went to were 2-3 minutes away. The people we met were very friendly and helpful. Gave us the inside on where to eat and what to see. Strongly recommend a place to stay. Gift upon arrival was a nice touch!!!!Colleen and Mark from Ontario
The check in was an easy process and the place had everything we needed. Thank you to the wonderful hosts, I highly recommend a stay here, I would definitely stay again! <3
This house was perfect for our needs. We loved the character of the old house and the location was just right. It was easy to find and easy to get to all the places we wanted to go. The house was clean, well stocked with everything needed. The view was terrific. I would definitely recommend a stay here.
Thanks, guys! Everything was great and in line with what was advertised...plus the lovely local wine and chocolates left on the table for us were a nice touch. We'd surely recommend this house to others for a Bonavista, and surrounding area, stay.
The property met every expectation. It was clean, nicely furnished, well appointed with kitchen and bath amenities. Fantastic view to the ocean. Close to town but away from noise.
We will be back!
A beautiful property well situated close to the lighthouse. The view of the ocean is wonderful and the entire place feels so romantic. You can imagine living in its earlier days. The host was lovely. The house has everything needed plus more. Could have moved in!
We can't say enough good things about our stay here. The view, the home, the location - what's not to like. Luke was terrific in communicating and answering our questions quickly. Don't hesitate to book this home - you will not be disappointed.
As soon as you arrive you feel welcome. We got good instructions. The house is great…it has everything you need, it feels homecoming and we had a good time. Bonavista is also great…we did the trail to the cape (you need to hike), whale watching (breathtaking), we saw puffins, a fox, horses, etc
We had very intense two days and we can highly recommend it!!!
This was a wonderful place to stay! It was exactly like the pictures with no surprises. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything we needed. It was a great location for experiencing many of the wonders of Newfoundland. Communication with the host was exactly what you would hope for; friendly, prompt and responsive. Highly recommend !
The hosts are very welcoming and sweet. The house makes you feel like you are at home with its beautiful décor, very inspiring and typical of Nl. The view is wonderful reflecting perfectly the spirit of Bonavista at the edge of the Atlantic. And of course, the puffins! Those cute almost toy like birds that put on a permanent show which will remain in our memories as one of the most exciting moments of our trip. Thank you for a beautiful stay, Isabelle et Pierre from Montreal, Qébec.
My husband and I stayed a week in this cozy property. We appreciated the amenities and cooked most of our meals in this country kitchen with the big table in the center. Some mornings when it wasn't so fogged in, I would sit in the window seat, drink my coffee and look for whales. I liked having the quilts on the beds and the artwork on the walls. The welcome bottle of wine and chocolates was much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.
From the time we first communicated with Mark & Luke, they were informative and helpful with the booking and our visit to the area. The home is lovely and well outfitted with whatever you will need for a short to long term stay. We were able to enjoy the weather and view from the back deck - fantastic! They are extremely thoughtful as hosts and left a bottle of wine and chocolates. The house is well located for visiting both Elliston and Bonavista. Luke dropped by the house to answer any questions and provided local knowledge to help with dining and shopping experiences. The quilts on the beds were a favourite of mine, and were beautifully crafted by Mark. All in all, this is the place to stay if visiting the area.
We truly enjoyed our week at Ronayne House! This is a lovely comfy, clean home with an attractive, nicely decorated interior. Beautiful views right out of the kitchen window, with plenty of walking/hiking trails within easy access. Luke and Mark go the extra mile to ensure the house is well stocked with everything a guest could possibly need, and more (thank you for the welcoming gift of chocolates and wine, and the locally made soaps and shampoo/conditioner- such a nice touch!). We would certainly recommend Ronayne House to anyone who wishes to visit the Bonavista area. Thank you for a wonderful vacation.
The check in process was seamless. The electronic lock meant there wasn’t pressure to arrive at a specific time. The house had everything we needed and was very clean. The Aunt Sarah’s chocolates and wine were a wonderful welcoming gift. The East Coast Glow soap and shampoo/conditioner were great touches and we visited the store which was not far away to buy some to take home. There were many great places to explore and to eat. We appreciated the literature at the house on things to see and do. A favourite was The Lovely Grand Bakeshop for scones and coffee. We also discovered some local artists such as Brim Pottery and Kind Seas which were also close to the house. It was easy to pick up supplies with a convenience store and Swyers nearby or within walking distance of Oceanview Restaurant if we didn’t feel like driving. It was windy and cold when we first arrived and we did find the downstairs washroom to be drafty and it was difficult to access due to the door placement. The upstairs bathroom and bedrooms were spacious. We are tall (6’) and the ceiling heights made this older home feel very spacious, open and bright. The bathroom mirror was too low to be useable for us but a full size mirror was provided at the end of the hall. For the last few days of our stay, it was sunny and warm. The house has lots of windows and natural light and we had a wonderful breeze blowing through the house when we opened the windows.Great hosts and accommodations!
