Casa Carcavelos

We had the most wonderful and relaxing two weeks in Casa Carcavelos. A house with a great view, full of authentic elements, a rich family history and very kind amd helpful hosts. We enjoyed the beautiful swimming pool and the tennis court which were both well maintained, as well as the fully the equiped kitchen . The house is well located so it is easy to plan trips to surrounding cities and villages. Great restaurants in the neighbourhood and many friendly people. We can definitely recommend a stay at Casa Carcavelos.

Beautiful house in the North of Portugal

We really enjoyed our holiday in this typical Portuguese house. Authentic and with fantastic facilities, we loved the pool, during the day and night. It is a wonderful house to relax, and is also really well located to explore Northern Portugal - less than an hour from the Douro, Gerês national park and the beautiful cities of Guimarães and Braga. The owners are very nice and leaving us some wine from their own vineyard was a lovely gesture - I ended up buying 12 bottles it was so good. Highly recommended.

A lovely house with nice bedrooms and a and large kitchen. Outdoor areas are lovely with well maintained gardens and pool. Communication with Rita was easy and she responded quickly to any messages. It would be helpful if a few basics were provided in the house such as salt, pepper, oil, tea bags. Other than this, the house was thoughtfully equipped. We were a group of 6 friends and family, and we had a lovely stay.

A recommander!!
