Tranquility at its finest
Pictures are pretty accurate but does nothing for what you see in person!! The grounds are well kept, the neighborhood is quiet except for the occasional barking dog, the views are amazing, and the ocean breeze and sounds of the waves are very welcomed. The pool was private, quiet and very relaxing. Ms Gene and Lisa are gems and helped us when we needed it can’t thank them enough!! No need to buy plates, cups or utensils there are lots to go around as well as extra blankets and pillows. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are spacious and with my group of eight no one had to wait! Really didn’t need to use the air conditioners because the breeze is endless. The best spot in the house though is the balcony, we spent lots of time there in the comfortable patio sets eating and enjoying family. A car is a must unless you like to walk it’s a 10-15 minute walk to Miami Beach and a little longer to get to oistins or my favorite place Chefette ;-) you will not be sorry when staying at Rosalie #3
We had a wonderful stay here on the south coast of Barbados. The apartment has a spectacular view, and the waves and breezes are constant.
Jean was lovely and accommodating; she met us at the airport and even helped transport our large family with all our luggage, leading the way to the apartment. She provided some basic groceries for us and responded quickly to a small problem with one of the room air conditioners.
We had a terrific stay here. Thank you!
Everything you want on a holiday.
Clean, bright, large and with great appliances. Everything was working well, well furnished and the air conditioning was lovely at night. The bedrooms are large with lots of storage. Perfect size pool, kept very clean. Felt very safe and did enjoy to be able to go out for dinner nearby. The view is incredible. The service is great, help is a phone call away. A car is a benefit, but taxis do provide service to the area. We had a wonderful time and would absolutely go back.
We had the privilege of staying at Rosalie #3 for six weeks recently, and suffice to say we have already booked for the next two years. The property has expansive views of the sea which is perhaps fifty feet away and the ever present sound of the sea is so relaxing. We were met at the airport with huge smiles and hugs from Jean and escorted back to Rosalie where we were made truly welcome and acquainted with everything at the apartment. It is very large, superbly equipped and super comfortable. The sea breezes were non stop day or night and we never felt the need to use the available air conditioning.
Lisa was absolutely wonderful as well, coming by once a week to tidy up and so on. She was so much fun to have to visit with and so happy to share information about the home, the area, or good shopping places only locals may have known about. Truly a gem of a person.
The balcony is a wonderful place to spend time day or night, enjoying the near perfect Barbados weather or cool off in the sparkling pool below if you choose to stay “home” for the day. I say home because this is our new home away from home in every sense of the word.
We had an outstanding experience with this property!!
The apartment is very spacious, clean and modern (i.e. state of the art kitchen, washer and dryer, A/C) and is in a top location, right on the ocean.. it was truly wonderful to fall asleep and wake with the sound of waves. It was 8 of us (two families of 4) and all the bedrooms were great, including two master suites with their own bathroom..we all had a wonderful time, had great meals together, including great breakfast on the terrace outdoor or dinners indoor when it was too windy... the location is also great as you can walk (about 2km) or short drive to Miami beach, and at the same distance there are the best surfing, windsurfing, and kitesurfing spots on the island!! We kited every day and still had time to explore many other places on the island..also close to the Oistins fish market and other good restaurants.. Jean (the property manager) was very responsive and efficient, helped us with transfers and questions..we left a ring in the property and she promptly called us back about it.. impressive..A+ rating.. only one minor suggestion, it'd be nice to get a small gas grill for the property.. other than that, keep up the excellent work, congratulations on a great and well run property, we'll be back!!
Spacious, well maintained apartment.
Stayed for two weeks at this spacious, well equipped apartment. Plenty of space for six people. Lisa was wonderful and cleaned the apartment, changed bed linen and towels every four days.
Fantastic to have a pool and jacuzzi area, very relaxing and so quiet.Beautiful setting and enjoyed meals on the veranda with the warm north east trades breeze.
Would suggest that a car is a must, we drove into Oistins for the supermarket which served all our needs. Oistins Friday night Fish Fry is worth visiting - tried Pat's, excellent food. Tried to get to eat at Uncle George but no tables available!
Chicken Rita is around the corner, worth visiting for the experience, buy rum by the bottle and you'll need a couple as the chicken and chips take a while. Good fun though. The surf shack down the road has a happy hour between 5.30-6.30pm and has occasional live music. Food a bit pricey but De Bay punch is very tasty!
Things to do: St Nicholas Abbey, not an Abbey, is worth a visit - sugar plantation and rum distillery and steeped in history. Hunter's caves is another excellent attraction where you are taken down the caves in a tram to see the coral caves.
Best day trip was Cool Runnings Catamaran trip, excellent fun, good crew and delicious meals and beverages. managed to swim with turtles and other colourful fish swimming around the ship wrecks.
Nearest beach was Miami Beach, only 5 mins in the car. Beautiful and in fact we kept going back to the beach despite going to Accra, Pebbles and Carlisle Beach. Not too crowded.
All in all the location was a great place to explore the island but would have found it hard without a car.
This is a quiet location but within walking distance to a local Surfers bar and restaurant popular for turtle-gazing, and 10 minutes from Oistins where you will find shops, a supermarket and the famous Oistins fish-fry. St Lawrence Gap is 15 minutes away where there are night clubs, bars and restaurants.
