Our short trip to Yellowstone was simply wonderful and unforgettable. Our cabin was perfect and our host, Chris was the best. He gave us detailed information and was very quick to respond. If we ever make it back would definitely stay there again.

Love the cabin!

We had a great stay overnight at the cabin! The host was wonderful and sent us information about the cabin and things to do nearby right after booking. We would definitely stay here again if in the area!

A Fantastic Cabin with everything

What a great place to stay when visiting Yellowstone and Grand Teton! This cabin has everything you would want. The hosts are top notch and this is the best communication I have ever had from pre-arrival all the way through check out. Chris has a digital camera, binoculars and very helpful DVD's to get you started on your journey. The gas stove is amazing and the cabin has a great charm to it. The drive to and from Yellowstone is beautiful and we found several little restaurants/grills not too far from our cabin. I would definitely stay here again if I come back. You won't go wrong by booking this cabin.

Amazing stay!

This cabin was beautiful and cozy or our family of five. We loved our stay here among the beautiful scenery. The cabin had all the comforts of home and the owners were very communicative to make sure we had what we needed. We would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience! :)

Great cabin

Great place. We did notice boil order in effect and bought water. The front door keyless entry only worked 1st day and then we had to use the side door rest of time.

Idaho Cabin

Chris was great in all of his communication! He gave us several tips on how to make the most out of our stay including shopping and restaurants. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Because we were mostly visiting Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons, we did not take advantage of all the area around the cabin had to offer. Maybe on our next trip to that area.

We like this house. Every thing is new. Love the big TV. About 40 minutes to the west entrance of Yellowstone. We would give 5 star if it has two bathrooms, because eight of us share one bathroom.

Rustic Cabin with Updates

The owners of Moose Tracks Cabin had excellent communication, which was greatly appreciated! They were easy to work with and overall we were pleased. The pictures really drew us in to the place but once we got there, we were a bit surprised. This listing should advertise how "rustic" it truly is. We should have had a clue with the title "cabin" but the pictures made it look nicer. The kitchen and bath was nice and updated. The rest of the house was quite rustic though. The yard was not mowed. The cabin was warm, it has ac window units in the bedrooms not throughout, it was hot in the other areas of the house. We were thankful for the place to stay but would not book this place again.

Smelled so bad we couldn’t stay…BEWARE!!!

As soon as we walked in the door there was a strong nursing home smell. We noticed separation in spots of the flooring in the kitchen and bedrooms. He had a do not wear shoes sign.That would've been fine if the floors were in better shape and the wood transition strips between the rooms weren't raised and splintered. The steps were very steep and narrow with metal strips on the front. The grass around the cabin was thigh high in every direction. I contacted Chris within 5 minutes of being there and told him we weren't staying the because the smell was so bad, floors were rough, and the grass was high. He responded with "you paid 100 bucks a night for your stay may I ask what the issue is?" and "THIS IS NOT GRASS. THERE ARE MEADOWS every where this is not a city you are in national forest. Did you see any grass anywhere? We mowed it around the firepit and more." I asked Chris for a partial refund (cleaning fee and 2 nights) because the cabin smelled so bad, we were not staying there, and the pictures on VRBO were misleading. He said he would check it out the next day and see what he could do. I tried to contact him several more times with no response. I contacted VRBO about the situation, they called him, he refused to get on the call with me or refund me any money. All of his responses have been very demeaning, condescending, and arrogant. PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE BOOKING THIS CABIN!!!

This guest is a complete liar. They never even checked into our home and our making up lies. We had guests before their arrival and after their arrival. She is an absolute liar and guests should be warned reading her review. Thanks.

Lovely private cabin

We enjoyed our time at the cabin in Island Park. The location was perfect for Yellowstone. Island Park offered ATV rentals, gas stations, and food options. The cabin was very clean and fully stocked. We enjoyed making s’mores at the fire pit!

Island Park Enjoyable Stay

Stayed here on our way from Grand Tetons to West Yellowstone. Really nice house in wooded area. Interior of the house was just right with enough space for our family of 6 (all adults). Great communication from the host, and we were really happy we chose this site. Thanks!

Cabin in the woods

I like reviews, I read them if buying from Amazon or when renting. I also try to understand the mind set of the person giving the review because a bad review from the wrong person might mean it a good buy after all. I read all the other reviews on this cabin and here is mine. Pros: price was about $75 cheaper Good communication with host Super clean with ozone machine, nice touch Recently remodeled with a modern luxury vibe All new appliances- frig, dishwasher, microwave, washer, dryer and large smart TV Kitchen is well stocked Shower with a great shower head and a sit-down tub for the kids Two self standing floor ac units one upstairs one downstairs Thermostat controlled gas wood burner as main heat works well. Neutral: Yellowstone is a 40-45 min drive on one main road north. Our stay in June neighborhood was super quiet Corner lot with pull through driveway Cons: There is no view outside of anything unless you count neighbors, rusting trailers and snowmobile No one in this Neighborhood does any landscaping grass is 12" tall everywhere. as inviting as the inside was, I was disappointed about the outside. This cabin had a shovel, an axe, a paint can, odd stone pile. A water hose and a old ladder and just stuff, strewn around outside in the tall grass, making the outside uninviting and possibly unsafe. A very stark contrast to the clean friendly happy vibe inside. City water not completely clear just enough yellow to notice with a full coffee pot, I opted to drink bottled water. Frig water and filter are not hooked up. This vrbo is a great staging point for adventures that are a short car away. it is super clean which must have been a challenge for the very rustic cabin it used to be And we saved some cash compared to other local rentals. Over all I would come back for the clean bed knowing I personally won't be outside much after coming back from that days adventure.

Harmony with Nature

The best of both worlds: quiet and isolated yet only 25 minutes to West Yellowstone. The home is immaculately clean, organized, spacious, and well-equipped. We have stayed in many VRBOs over the years, and you could not ask for more professional and responsive hosts. We loved it there!

Family trip

Communication prior to arrival time was good. I emailed several questions on arrival day over a period of a few hours. Some were time sensitive. From my first email until the response time from the owner was about 8 hours. The house looked neglected as we drove up and was remotely located. The listing advertised air conditioning and downstairs did not have air. The air upstairs in one room was broken and my husband had to repair it. The downstairs was 78 degrees. The owner told us to open the window. The dryer door did not stay shut and the dryer did not dry. They obviously knew about this because when I told the owners they told me to use the small ironing board to wedge between the door and the wall to keep it shut. This was part of a ten night cross country trip and a dryer was necessary for our family of five. I had to hang clothes to dry which was time consuming and inconvenient. They said they would come and fix it on a particular day of our stay and that did not happen. There were no washcloths in the bathroom or anywhere else in the house. I rented this property months ahead of time and I have to say I was disappointed in the condition of the property.

Thanks for this. These people are your typical home inspector short term renters and will nit pick at everything and anything to try to squeeze a few dollars out of you. I am sorry please next time stay at a Hotel. Our Airbnb doesn't go over 74 degrees downstairs hence the lack of AC. All the best.

Thanks for having a look at our property and thinking about staying with us. Our place has most amenities that you would need to be comfortable and it is setup to make your visit to Yellowstone a memorable one.

We fell in love with Yellowstone a long time ago and were able to finally own a property near this amazing national park. It maybe to surprising to hear that Yellowstone was the world's first national park but after your first visit to this magical place you realize why.

Island Park is home to an amazing group of people and all of our neighbors have welcomed us and have become like family to us. We also enjoy Island Park because of its close proximity to Henry's Fork and Snake River. We spend most of our time canoeing in the river, visiting the park, fishing, and mountain biking the trails.

Our place is equipped with everything you may need and we have tried very hard to ensure that it is as comfortable and welcoming as it can be. All of our guests are welcomed with a bottle of wine and we do our outmost best to ensure our property is clean and pleasant. The former is mainly due to our amazing cleaning lady who is a gem and does an amazing job keeping the place clean.

Finally, Airbnb has given us the chance to share our home from home with so many amazing people. We really enjoy providing this service to our guests and helping them enjoy the beauty of Idaho, Island Park, and Yellowstone. It is our pleasure to be your host and we always hope to have you back again.
